Mom and Dad lock every door and window, the moment we get home and Grayson leads me into the living room. No one has to tell me that this is serious and somehow I know this has to do with Elias.
“Grayson, start talking. I know that you have answers and I want them right now.” I say and I know he can’t help himself, but answer my question.
Mom and Dad nod their heads, they know he can’t fight my order. “Avery linked me with a warning. He said that I shouldn’t say a word or respond in any way. That if Ivan was Giselle’s fated Mate than Elias would kill him, that Elias wants you for himself.

I didn’t get much sleep last night, because Alpha Alexandler placed Elite Warriors around our house and I know it is an attempt to keep me from running.

Too bad he never took the time to get to know me, because than he would know that this wouldn’t from leaving and I know my parents and my Brother will come with me. Problem is that I have no idea where we should go, but a notification on my phone sends me the answer.

It takes an hour before I get a response to my message and I make sure that everyone starts packing the things they want to take with them, but I don’t tell them where we are going. Besides some clothes I pack a few things I can’t leave behind and once I am done, I place my bag in Dad’s office.
Grayson has already placed his bag in Dad’s office and is waiting for me in the living room, a sad look on

“Gloria…” I place my hand over his mouth, I don’t want to talk about her and even though she is my Sister, I hope I never see her again.
“Just sing Happy Birthday” I say with a smile on my face and 1 hear Dad groan the moment Grayson starts singing. Like dad, he is a lousy singer and I hope the Warriors around our house are enjoying this little

Suddenly Dad starts to sing along with Grayson and Mom links me to crawl out of the living room and to head up to my room. I don’t question her strange instructions and as I walk up the stair waiting for me in my room.
The door to my room is open and Avery is sitting on the floor with his back against the foot of my bed, he gestures for me to get on the floor. I crawl into my room and sit down next to him.

Chapter 62 Monog Again
“I couldn’t allow him to do this to you. I don’t know the entire story, but there is something special about you and Alpha Alexander wants you to become Elias‘ Lina. Even if it means a forceful marking Avery whispers and I know that he is right.
We just sit there for a few moments, listening to Dad and Grayson singing as loud as they can and despite the situation I start to giggle. They are now singing a tune Grandma taught us, a song from centuries agra and if she could hear them she would regret ever teaching it to them.
“What are you going to do. Avery?” I ask him, because oubt there are many people that would know what Alpha Alexander and Elias had planned. Which means that it won’t take long before they will understand that Avery warned us.
“Join the King’s Army, maybe. I don’t know, but I know can’t stay here.” He answers me and I quickly send Lucy another message. He saved me and I can’t leave him behind.
Ten minutes later I say goodbye to Avery and Mom shows him out the backdoor again. We eat cake an play a board game to pass the time and after dinner we turn on the TV, making ourselves comfortable.
I chose to put on a marathon of Harry Potter, it will last long enough for us to make our escape and the Warriors will be able to hear what we are watching. With eight movies it will keep us up all night or so they
ill think, but by the time anyone decides to check up on us it will be too late.
Halfway through the first movie, we all crawl to our positions on the ground floor. Dad is in his office to keep an eye on the Warriors on that side of the house, Mom is in the kitchen and Grayson is by the backdoor, while I am still in the living room
It is almost midnight when Grayson mentions two Warriors leaving, “Yeah, they just walked past my office.” Dad states and if my gut is right, I will see them out front soon.
It is after two in the
backdoor. Wing, when Grayson informs us that the coast is clear and we quietly sneak our the
backdoor. We don’t waste time in walking to the tree line, it will make walking a bit easier and I sigh in relief the moment I can walk up straight again.
We follow Dad to the border, we won’t be crossing at any of the most used crossing into our territory. Avery will be waiting for us with his baby Brother, who happens to be running patrol there and they will join us to our new Pack
Grayson pulls me behind a tree, Braxton is talking to a Warrior that is best friends with Elias and we can’t risk him seeing us. It takes almost half an hour for him to leave and the moment the coast is clear we make a short sprint to pass the border.
Once Dad is satisfied that we are far enough from Onyx Star territory, he gestures for us to stop and I hear words never thought I would hear anyone say. “I, Grayson, sever my ties to Onyx Star Pack and renounce Alpha Alexander as my Alpha.” Once everyone has broken their ties with Onyx Star Pack, we start moving again.
