Alayah’s p.o.v.
I am waiting near the front porch for everyone to show up again and it doesn’t surprise me thar this time there are even more Pack–members present.
Word probably traveled fast that Pack–members had received the death penalty, but that I wasn’t finished yet and they all want a front row seat to what will happen next.
All four families are on their knees, hands cuffed behind their backs with silver and when every member of Bronze Crest’s leadership has arrived, Dusya gets pulled onto her feet. She looks very confused as to why she has been saved for last.
“Alpha Ivar, I am going to ask you and your Mate a question and I want you to think real hard about the answer, before giving it to me.” I say, as I step in front on them.
“This is a hypothetical situation, because we all know that you and your Mate have a true Mate–bond. I
know want you to imagine that you have just met and are starting to build your Mate–bond. Someone you tells you that your Mate has been involved with another for some time, that your Mate has even slept with this person.”
I look at both of them to see if they have any questions, but it seems they can follow me thus far. “Luna, you get told that your Mate got his “girlfriend” pregnant.” And yes, I used air quotes. “Alpha, you get told that your Mate got pregnant. What would you do with this information?” I ask.
Both of them give me the same answer, confront the other with the information and also reveal who provided them with it.
Nathan has been watching Beta Aksel and Gamma Jesper, but neither one of them have responded in any way to question,
“Alpha, I have one more question in this hypothesis. You are also told that your Mate wants to pass the Pup of as yours, what would you do?” I look at him, but it doesn’t seem that he has heard a similar story before today and that makes me wonder.
“I would have laughed it off, because it would have been a big fat lie.” Alpha Ivar says. “Everyone knows that only a couple with a true Mate–bond forming can get pregnant without having marked one another. A couple that are chosen Mates can only conceive after marking one another and even then it might take them years.”
I had my eyes on Beta Aksel, as his Alpha was talking and slowly the realization hits him. “You lied to me, Dusya. Why?” He asks and everyone turns towards her to her what she has to say for herself.
“Aroha didn’t deserve you, she wasn’t a Wolf or a Lycan and wouldn’t make a good Beta female for this Pack. I knew I would be better suited and acted accordingly, but you never paid me any attention.” Dusya responds and I am glad Gamma Jesper is fast enough to grab Beta Aksel by the neck.
Looking around me, it is clear to see that everyone has questions and I will make sure they have all the answers they need.
“Dusya found out about the connection your Beta felt to Aroha and started to feed him lies about her being involved with someone else. What Dusya wasn’t aware of, is that their Mate–bond was almost completed. The night before Dusya told him that Aroha was pregnant and would try to pass it off as his, Aksel and Aroha had slept together for the first time.

Chapter 408 Arque
They knew their Mate–bond was almost complete and weren’t willing to waste another minute. Aksel believed what Dusya told him and started to withdraw from Aroha, but it was already to late for their bond. It had been completely formed and the only way Aksel could break it, was by rejecting Aroha
Aksel rejected Aroha near the borders, told her to leave and to never come back. What Aksel wasn’t aware of, is that Aroha was indeed pregnant and he nearly killed Aroha and their unborn Pup. I would just like to know, why did you believe Dusya?” I ask him, not sure if I should tell him the rest of the story.
Aksel doesn’t look at me, he seems to be withdrawn into himself and it takes me a moment to understand what is going on. “How long has his Wolf been dormant?” I ask and it doesn’t surprise me to find out that his Wolf went dormant after Aksel rejected Aroha.
“It wasn’t until Dusya told me that Aroha wasn’t a Wolf or a Lycan, that I decided that she could be telling the truth. My Wolf didn’t agree with me and I had to pull up a block to make sure he wouldn’t interfere with my rejection.” Aksel finally answers and I need to know if I can inform him of what happened to Aroha.
I start pacing the ground in front of the Pack–house, glancing at Hondo as I pass him and I wait until he gives me the okay to proceed.
“As I already said, your rejection almost killed Aroha and her unborn Pup in the process. As a Beta, you are very aware of what a rejection can cause during a pregnancy and that is premeditated murder in my book.” I wait for the crowd to settle down and I can see that Alpha Ivar is debating with someone, probably his Luna and Gamma.
“You are lucky that Aroha survived or I would end you right now. I will leave it up to your Alpha to determine the punishment for you and Dusya, but if he wants my opinion; I would sentence both of you to death. Neither of you deserves to get a second chance to ruin another’s life ever again.
If you ever doubted her pregnancy or who the Father of that unborn Pup was, I can put your mind at ease.” I say and I can hear him sigh in relief. “Aroha was pregnant and you were the Father, but I also know that her Son never knew who his Father was.”

Beta Aksel looks at me and I can see his Wolf coming forward. “Where is my Son, where is my Pup?” Beta Aksel asks with the voice of his Wolf mixed with his own.
“You are not my Father, you gave up that right when you rejected Mom. I don’t care what Alpha Ivar does to you, I am moving to Blood Stone Pack with my Mate and he doesn’t give a damn about what kind of shifter I am. I am a Lynx and damn proud of it.” Taipo says, walking into Hondo’s arms.
“Alpha Alayah, I am ashamed of what happened within my borders. I hope that my Pack–members will help me to find a way to prevent this from ever happening again, as for Dusya and my Beta I have to agree with you. They deserve the death penalty for what they put Aroha through, both of them knew what could happen when Aksel rejected her.
Taipo, I am sorry that you and your family never felt comfortable enough to inform your leadership of
ther and the kind of shifters you are. I was proud of your Grandparents, they always ran border patro now I understand why. I hope you and your Mate will be happy and maybe one day you will return to visit your Aunt.” Alpha Ivar says.
“Sorry, Alpha. I am not staying either, I can’t live in a place that now holds bad memories, next to the sad memories.” Nako says and Alpha Ivar doesn’t argue with her.
