“Who did I talk to on the phone to make this appointment?” I ask and a male that looks like the Alpha steps forward. “I mentioned her name when we spoke and that she would be accompanied by her four Mates. Care to explain why you kept that piece of information from your Father?” I ask and I know that if he lies Nathan will call him out on it.
“I thought you were pulling my chain, I have never heard of a female Alpha before.” He says with a straight face and a female, that I assume is his Mother, slaps him on the back of his head. Sounds like this guy doesn’t know his own family history, because his Grandmother was one of the first female Alphas we have ever known.
He rubs the back of his head as he looks at her and anyone can tell that she is about to lose patience with him. “Your Grandmother was this Pack’s Alpha for longer than you will be alive if you keep this up, you should know better than anyone that a female Alpha isn’t unheard of.” She growls at him and we can all hear him whisper “Sorry, Mom.”
After the Alpha has apologized for the misunderstanding, we all get back in to the SUVs and follow him into the main territory. We pull to a stop in front of a small Pack–house and it looks like the Gamma family is waiting for us on the front porch. Jarrom starts pacing in the back of my head the moment I step out of the SUV and I understand why the moment I look at every person on the front porch.
I slowly walk around the SUV as I keep my eyes locked with the most gorgeous female in the world, no one says a word as she takes one step forward. She doesn’t come any closer, because a male is holding his arm in front of her. “Don’t you dare touch her.” Jarrom growls as I take a step forward and it earns him a small smile from the female.
“It is best if we take this inside.” Alpha Bane says and as I step onto the front porch I step next to the female Jarrom feels a connection with. I place my hand on her lower back to guide her into the office and follow her as she walks to a couch facing the window.
“Alpha, I apologize for my Gamma’s reaction. The only excuse there is, is an ancient one. My Mother found out that many Wolves and Lycans will reject their Mate if they are a different kind of shifter and Janina is a Leopard.” Alpha Bane says and I hear Jarrom growl in my head, because someone thought I would reject her for not being a Wolf or a Lycan.
“Alpha Bane, we are aware of a small part of your Pack’s history and the fact that you have a mixed Pack is known to us. Just to reassure Janina’s parents; I have no intention of rejecting her and anyone that suggests I should, can start digging their own grave.” I manage to say without growling.
I feel Janina relaxing next to me and her Father also apologizes for his reaction. Janina turns out to be the youngest of twelve, seven Lycans and five Leopards. Her Mom tells me that they will send over all the information our Pack–doctor will need, because a Leopard is a bit different when it comes to treatment and they want to help him in any way they can.
“Alpha Alayah, I don’t think that this is the reason of your visit. Is it?” Alpha Bane asks with a smile on his face and Alayah shakes her head as she looks at me. I know she is happy I did find the connection and we will do everything we can to make Janina feel at home, Mom is going to love her.
“No, you are right. This isn’t the reason why we are here. We have a prisoner in our dungeons and he has been there for over a year, but refuses to answer any question we ask.” Alayah says and as she explains everything to them I block the conversation out, just looking at Janina.

She is about 5“7 but I think she will grow in height after I mark her. Her blond, curly hair reaches just below her shoulders and I hope all our offspring will have her sky blue eyes. Jarrom can’t take his eyes off of her and she giggles when she happens to look up at me, seeing the color of my eyes changing between my own and those of Jarrom.
An elbow in my side pulls my attention away from Janina and Jarrom growls over the mind–link as I look at Anton. “We might get an answer soon.” Is all he says as he turns back to Alpha Bane.
“Anton, we could have in formed Bastian later and that is if we have answers to our questions. Bastian is going to repay you the day you find your connection.” Alayah says.
Anton looks at me before he turns back to Alayah, “No, he won’t. He will be to busy with his own Mate.” Anton says and he has a rather smug look on his face. “Not if I remind him.” Janina says from beside me and I am not sure who looks more dumbfounded, Anton or Janina’s Father.
We follow Alpha Bane out of the Pack–house and I am amazed at the territory, each building at a strategic point. He opens a door to a building I thought was for Warriors and we follow him down the hall to the backdoor. I look up at the mountain as I let Jarrom guide me in the right direction and my jaw drops when I see some sort of corridor through the mountain.
A couple is waiting for us on the other side of the mountain and no one has to tell me why they are here. “Can you explain to Alpha Alayah and her Pack–members why your Brother is claiming that you took his Mate away from him?” Alpha Bane asks the male and by the time he is done I know I am going to commit murder when we get home.
No one can claim a sibling’s connection just because they are older, no one can try to forcefully mark a sibling’s connection because they believe they should have a Mate first. Hell, it wouldn’t surprise me if he ignored his own connection. I am glad I have Janina by my side or Jarrom might have gained control over me, “Just calm down, Bastian.” She whispers as she wraps her arms around my waist, her head resting against my chest.
Alayah follows Alpha Bane with her Mates, they want to see if there is anything they can help with and if he will bring up missing a Beta family on his own. “Dad, can I join the meeting?” Micheal, the future Alpha asks and after looking at Alayah he gets a nod from his Father.
Bryson and Brock are walking around the hidden territory with our Elite Warriors, hoping some of them might feel a connection. I informed them about the Pack’s history through the mind–link and all of them got pissed, when they heard that Wolves and Lycans rejected their Mates in a time the Goddess was the one that guided them.

Anton is keeping me company, while Janina and her parents are packing up her belongings and we decided to sit on the patio next to the main living room. We both look around the territory from here, it is that I love Blood Stone Pack and have a responsibility towards our Pack–members or I might have told Janina not to pack.
“This is an amazing place for those that want to avoid the rest of the world.” Anton says as we both watch a young girl walking in our direction, the next moment we both jump up as she shifts into a Cub. She is a bit wobbly on her legs and I slowly make my way over to her, “Just stand still, you will get the hang of it soon enough.” I say as I watch her closely.
A moment later she shifts back and a naked little girl is lying in front of me. I don’t think twice as I take of my shirt and place it on the girl, as I rise to my feet I see a couple running in our direction. “Did she shift?” the male asks and I just nod my head, not really sure how to respond.
“Thank the Goddess, she was so upset when she didn’t shift on her tenth birthday.” The male says and by

the time we say our goodbyes we know that Bears shift at the age of ten, while felines shift at sixteen. Brock and Bryson had joined us some time ago and they had asked the girl all kinds of questions, because they have no one else can answer their questions within our Pack. Making the girl smile from ear to ear, answering the questions she could and the other questions were answered by her parents.
We have just settled down again, when we here a few females walking into the living room as they talk, “How the hell did you convince Micheal to report Haper to the Elders?” a female asks.
