Chapter 373 Alpha Position
Nikolay’s p.o.v.
Thank the Goddess Aunt Mabel understands why I made that suggestion and we quickly leave the main living room to discuss this in the privacy of the Alpha residence. Alayah is waiting for me by the door and I bury my nose in her neck to moment she wraps her arms around me, I just need a few moments with my Mate to calm Khal and myself down.”
Alayah asks why Khal roared and I stop Uncle Josh from answering her, “Have you made a decision?” I ask her, because I want to make sure everyone understands who those females disrespected with their actions and I want every Pack–member to know what the consequences are for disrespecting the true Mate–bond or their Alpha.
Alayah nods her head as she pulls me with her to a couch and I pull her onto my lap as I sit down. No one says a word, we are all waiting on Alayah to tell us what she has decided to do and I for one will back whatever her decision might be.
She tells us that she had a long conversation with Topaz about what to do, that both of them believe that every victim deserves justice and that those that broke the Law should be held accountable for their actions.
“I wasn’t raised to be an Alpha or a Beta for that matter. I don’t know if I want to deal with everything that is waiting for me in the Alpha office and I don’t know if this Pack has been keeping up with their training, because they need to be ready for a totally different future if I take over.” Alayah says and I explain the current training schedule to her, Grandpa adds to it that it hasn’t changed since the moment Blood Stone Pack was founded.
A knock on the door stops Alayah from saying anything else and Bryson gets up to open the door, an Onega tells him that breakfast is ready in the main dining room. He tells her that we will be having breakfast here, that there are a few things we need to discuss without other Pack–members around. It only takes a few minutes for three Omegas to show up with trays full of food and after they have placed everything in our dining room they leave us.
Grandma says that we will have breakfast first, but Grandpa wants to object and Grandma is quick to shut him up. “You have waited for over a century for the rightful heir to return, a few more moments won’t kill you.” She says as we all sit down and I hear the others giggle and chuckle around us.

I am curious as to why Khal roared, but apparently it is important to Nikolay to find out my decision first and I am glad I have a little longer before I have to answer his question. Lunch is spent talking about my childhood and explaining to my family what my Father’s death did to my Mother. No one is too upset with Mom for how she handled his death, Grandpa says that if I can forgive her for how she treated me then why shouldn’t they and I think it is clear to see that Mom is relieved that they don’t hold it against her.
When Anton tells Grandpa that he was afraid I would want to take over the Beta position at Crimson Moon Pack I hear my Cousins chuckle, of course they would think it is funny that I would want to take the Beta position away from someone else when in fact I am the Alpha of the strongest Lycan Pack that ever existed.
But when Anton tells them that I offered to do the paperwork for him and Marc they look at me in surprise, apparently none of them expected me to volunteer to be crunching numbers all day. That is until Grandpa explains to everyone that every male in my bloodline had an extraordinary brain and was real good with numbers and Grandma asks him how that’s possible because Grandfather hates numbers like he hates the paperwork.
Grandfather just chuckles and says “I might hate the paperwork but it doesn’t mean that I don’t have any

feelings for numbers. I just don’t like sitting in my office the entire day and doing paperwork means just that; being cooped up in my office, so if I had gotten the offer from someone else to do my paperwork for me I would have grabbed it with both hands, just like Anton and Marc did.”
Uncle Paul says he wants to go down a hypothetical line and everyone looks at him to ask the question he wants an answer to, “If Alayah decides to take over the Alpha position who will be her Beta and her Gamma? Usually an Alpha has established a relationship with his Beta and Gamma because they grew up together, the males or females within this pack, whose birthright it is to take those positions from their Fathers didn’t grow up with Alayah. So I ask again who will become her Beta and Gamma?” He asks as I lean back in to Nikolay’s chest.
I knew this question was coming because it was a question I had kept repeating myself, Topaz and I had been unable to find an answer to it but grandpa seems to have an answer to that question. He tells us that the Beta only had a Daughter and that she found her Mate a few months ago and moved to his pack with him. Thinking back on what Anton just said I have gotten an answer to at least half of the question, but it still leaves the Gamma position open and I know that I can’t ask one of my Mates to fulfill that position.
I need someone in that position that will talk back to me if he has to or she, depending on who I’m going to ask for that position. Uncle Josh tells us that their Gamma never had any Pups because he is the half of a same–sex couple and adoption was out of the question because they couldn’t risk anyone finding out what Blood Stone Pack was really about, they made the sacrifice of never becoming parents in order to keep their Pack’s secret safe.
Topaz points out something to me I hadn’t thought of yet, but it means I will have to discuss this with my entire family and hope that no one gets offended by my suggestion. It will be the best solution for the current situation, but I also need to discuss something else Topaz and I agreed on and I am not sure if it is possible to pull that off.
As the Omegas clear the table we walk back to the living room and I ask Bastian who the Lycan were that accompanied him when we arrived at the territory. He tells me that they are the future Deltas of Blood Stone Pack, that over the years they added two Deltas because of the size of the Pack and that they always work together.
He tells me about their job around the Pack and how much he enjoys being able to work with them on a daily basis.
The moment the door closes behind the Omegas everyone’s attention turns to me and I know they are expecting an answer from me.
“Grandpa, is it possible to hold an Alpha Ceremony in secret?” I ask and just as he wants to answer me Uncle Josh’s phone starts to buzz, he looks at it with a smile on his face. He tells us that three Elders are at the gate and that they have a favor to ask from the Alpha.
