Chapter 369 Wrath

While Alayah is trying to wrap her head around everything she has heard from her new found family, two Lycans at Crimson Moon Pack have some problems of their own and those problems might cause a rift between two Packs before they have become one.
Marc walked up to his office the moment Anton drove away to follow Alayah to Blood Stone Pack, he needed time to think about what he knew at that moment and he needed to have a good conversation with his Lycan. They had made a miscalculation somewhere along the line, they found more secrets than either one of them had expected and the biggest one could ruin everything they had planned for their future.
It was nearly eight years ago when Marc found some documents hidden away in the library, documents he doubted his Father knew about and it took him a long time before he was able to find out all the details. When he figured it all out, he was exited about what he had discovered and he wanted to tell his Father about it. His Lycan stopped him by asking him if he still dreamt of leading the largest Pack in existence and his Lycan told him they needed a plan to make that happen.
Marc’s Lycan is named Tybalt and like Marc he believes that they should be leading the largest Lycan Pack, when Tybalt realized how he could get his wish all he needed to do was get his Human on his side. Luckily for Tybalt Marc was still young and easily influenced, but what Tybalt hadn’t counted on was that his Human was as power hungry as he was and it didn’t take much to convince Marc to find a way to get back what once belonged to his family.
Marc found out that Crystal was heir to Autumn Pack and still single, all they needed to do was find a way to make Crystal believe that there was a connection between her and Marc. At fourteen Marc was pretty tall and wise enough to understand that some females would believe he was older than he actually is and he used it to get the information he needed. When he joined his Father to a meeting with a few Alphas he found his perfect way in, a female that was stealing money from her Alpha.
Marc taped the conversation he overheard and used it to blackmail the female to help him to keep Crystal away from males and the Elder meetings. He needed the time to find the way to make Crystal believe that there was a connection between them and it took him a few years to figure out how to convince Crystal there was a connection between them. A part of it depended on the female Marc was blackmailing and her ability to convince Crystal how to detect a connection.
For you to understand why her involvement was so important to Marc, you need to know that Crystal grew up without a Mother. Crystal was raised by her maternal Aunt, Sandra, she believed that she should have found a true Mate–bond with an Alpha and who spent most of her life trying to find an Alpha that would take her as his chosen Mate. But even after Alpha Gordon lost his Mate he had no interest in his Sister in Law and only used her to raise his Daughter and to function as some sort of Luna.
Sandra felt as if Alpha Gordon owed her for everything she did for him and Crystal, but she never got what she wanted and when Marc confronted her with her crimes she had no other choice but to do as he said. They met in secrecy on a stretch of land between both Packs and even though Sandra tried to change Marc’s mind about taking Crystal as his Mate it didn’t work, but in the end she did get some of the things she wanted.
Marc and Sandra became lovers as time passed and Marc decided to keep her as his mistress, to give him an heir to the combined Packs. If Sandra gave him an heir before Crystal did he would reject Crystal and take Sandra as his Mate instead, but Sandra was unaware of the fact that these were just empty promises from Marc. He wasn’t willing to risk losing the other half of the original Pack again, so he would never reject Crystal as his Mate.

When the time was right Sandra made sure she wasn’t in the territory to stop Crystal from going to the Elder meeting, the meeting where she met Marc and we already know how that played out. Crystal thought she felt a connection with Marc, but it was just the drugs he had slipped into her drink and for some reason her Lycan trusted her when she asked not to get marked yet.
Taria, Crystal’s Lycan, knew she could and should trust her Human and as the days passed in Crimson Moon Pack she became irritated with Marc’s behavior to get her beverages for her. He hardly ever left he rout of his sight, but with Anton leaving Marc had told her to leave him alone and Crystal decided to head home to start packing her belongings. Marc was to busy.trying to find a way to get rid of Anton and Alayah that he didn’t realize that Crystal had left Crimson Moon Pack.
Marc spent the rest of the day going through every Law book he could find in the library and after writing down every thing he found he thought he could use he went searching for information, to find cases of Alphas who had gone through the same thing. To find any scrap of information he could use to his advantage, to keep an Alpha and an Alpha blooded male out of his territory and little by little he found what he needed to justify his decisions.
The one thing Marc wasn’t aware of was the time that passed as he locked himself in the Library, Tybalt was to invested in this search to realize that to much time passed for them to keep the deceit up and if they had known what would happen the next time they saw Crystal again they would have made the decision to find the answers at a later date.
Crystal and Alpha Gordon discussed what happened with Alayah and both of them believe that Marc will allow her to stay in her birth Pack, after all Alayah didn’t come of as a power hungry Lycan. She worked hard on the numbers to help out her Alpha and future Alpha, she took the most boring task an Alpha has to give them time to focus on other tasks with combining both Packs.
Crystal started packing her belongings the moment she got home, thinking about what Sandra taught her as she grew up and a small smile formed on her face as she thought about her childhood. It didn’t take her long to pack her clothes and by the time dinner came around Crystal only had her personal belongings to pack, something she would do in the morning.
Crystal was no longer preoccupied with the task she had set for herself, she hadn’t felt good at all during the night and she went to see the Pack–doctor.
Her Father stayed by her side as test after test was done on her and it was a nurse that put the Doctor on the right track when she asked if it could be poison.
It took a few hours before the Doctor had found out what was wrong with Crystal, every person involved in finding the right diagnoses got Alpha ordered to not speak of it and Crystal decided to head back to Crimson Moon Pack with her Father.
Alpha Gordon is pissed off to say the least, but he wants to give Crystal the change to make Marc pay for what he did. Crystal waits for Marc in the main living room and it is close to dinner when he finally shows up, immediately remembering he had to give her the drugs to keep the deceit going and as he places a glass in front of her Crystal starts to laugh.
“How long can I go without that drug before finding out what you are doing?” She asks as she looks at
Marc.
