Miku has been on edge ever since Noah pointed out that Alpha Randell didn’t react to the female’s comments, he suspects that Marc and Alpha Randell were talking to one another through the mind–link and from the look on their faces it wasn’t a pleasant conversation. I was to focused on Alayah to really notice it was going on, but looking back I had register somewhere in my subconscious that Marc was in a mind–link.
Lunch is spend with discussing Alayah’s options; will she stay here and take the.Beta position Crystal offered her? Living her life the way she had planned for so long, taking the easier road in life as she says herself. Or will she visit Blood Stone Pack to find out more about her family, to find out how they will react to her being mated to her Stepbrothers and then make a decision that might alter all our lives. We tell her that we will support her no matter what she decides to do, after all it is her choice.
After the Omegas have taken the dishes back to the kitchen I get out of my seat, “Okay, I am going to look for Marc and see if I can get some answers.” I say before I pull our Princess out of her seat and slam my lips to hers as I pull her close to my body. I reluctantly let her go because I need to get some answers, not just for Alayah but also for myself. I hope Marc can explain to me why his Father didn’t react or why he didn’t for that matter, Alayah is his friend after all.
Now all I have to do is figure out where I can find Marc and as I descend the stairs I hear someone coming down the stairs above me, I turn around to see Crystal walking to our door. My best bet is that Marc is on the Alpha floor and as Nikolay lets Crystal onto our floor I walk back up the stairs, continuing my way to find Marc. I reach the Alpha floor without running into someone else and as I raise my hand to knock on the door I notice that it isn’t completely closed.
“Marc, listen to me. Alayah is your friend and she has never done something to hurt you. Paul has never done anything to undermine me and he has known for decades that he is from an Alpha bloodline, even Anton is from an Alpha bloodline. You need to think about this very carefully, before you do something you might regret, Son.” Alpha Randel says and I decide to remain silent, hoping to find out more about what he is talking about.
“Dad, I can’t tolerate another Alpha living in my territory. I am not sure how to feel about the fact that my best friend is of an Alpha bloodline and never told me about it. What if he decides that he wants to become an Alpha? Do you want me to look over my shoulder for the rest of my life?” I hear Marc asks and I know this is running deeper than anyone could have thought. Why is Marc so scared of Anton? He might be of an Alpha bloodline, but he could never get the power Alayah and Marc have as heirs.
“Besides, I doubt our Pack–members will like the fact that she is mated to her four Stepbrothers. You heard the murmurs in the dining room and they became worse after the five of them went up to the Gamma floor. A lot of females will try to make Alayah’s life a living hell, they all had hoped to find their Mate in one of them and they blame her for taking them of the market, so to speak.” Marc says and I think he is missing the point.
Alpha Randell is obligated to uphold the Law and that means accepting Stepsiblings to mark and mate if there is a true Mate–bond between them, something Marc will have to do after he takes over from his Father. An Alpha has to make sure that his or her Pack–members follow the Law and not to let his or her Pack–members decide which part of the Law they want to follow and which part not. I don’t hear Alpha Randell react or interrupt Marc and I wonder if he might feel the same way.
“She is a gifted Alpha, Father. She is the rightful Alpha to Blood Stone Pack and we know what they are capable of, imagine what could happen if we allowed her to stay in our territory. I am not willing to take that risk, but I also know I can’t just banish her from Crimson Moon Pack because of it and I think it is safe to say that I need to be careful with what I say and do when it comes to Alayah,” I hear Marc say and for a moment Miku wants me to rip him apart, but I manage to calm him down.

“Son, as the future Alpha you have to abide by the Law just like every one of us and that means we can’t tolerate anyone bad mouthing Alayah or one of her Mates.” Alpha Randel finally responds. “Dad, I doubt Alayah will come to me if anyone does bully her and if they keep pushing hard enough she might leave on her own accord. How am I supposed to deal with something no one has told me about?” Marc asks and I know I have heard enough.
I will see if I can convince Anton to come with us as well, after all they are his family too and it will make it easier to inform the right people at the same time. I walk back down the stairs to see my Mate and I am about to walk in the door when I hear someone approaching the door, I quickly walk down a few steps to act as if I just walked back up here. “Hello, Crystal.” I say as she walks out the door and I ask her how the planning of the Alpha and Luna Ceremony is going
“Slow, but I will get there.” She says before she walks up the stairs and I not only close the door behind me I also lock it behind me. I walk into the room to see a strange look on Alayah’s face and I sit down next to her as I ask her why Crystal dropped by, because something tells me that Crystal’s visit and the look in her eyes are connected somehow. I doubt that whatever Crystal came to tell Alayah was bad, because Topaz isn’t near the surface.
