“Your Mother wouldn’t show that to my Sons, would she?” Xavier asks as he looks at Mom and I ask him if he wants the truth or a diplomatic answer, making Mom burst out in laughter again. Alpha Gordon asks me what my diplomatic answer would be, “Grandma prides herself in giving a full education.” I say with a straight face, but Beta Jacob tumbles of his chair from laughing so loud and Alpha Gordon tells me he will never ask me for a truthful answer.
“Good call, Alpha. Even Grandma doesn’t want a truthful answer from me.” I mumble as I dig into my food, Mom is still laughing from time to time and I think Beta Jacob has given up on lunch all together. After lunch Mom and I return to my office and her eyes widen when she sees that the door is ajar, a moment later I feel Xavier behind me. Two Warriors follow him as he approaches my office, but as I suspected there is no one in there.
The only reason we can tell someone was in the office has to do with all the drawers being open and their contents scattered all over the floor, “What happened here?” Alpha Gordon asks. “Someone is scared I might uncover their little secret. Dad, Mom and I will work on the Gamma floor. Can you put two Warriors on the landing?” I ask him and I can tell Xavier is emotional from me calling him Dad.
“Of course, Baby Girl. I will make sure you have someone following you at all times, just in case someone wants to try something.” Dad answers and the two Warriors that followed him into the office follow us up to the Gamma floor, both of them standing guard on the landing. I take my laptop from my bag and I see Mom facepalming herself, “Now you understand why I took it with me, Mom?” I ask and I see her slowly nodding her head.
“How did you know someone would trash your office?” Mom asks and I ask her to link Xavier because he needs to be here when I explain a few things. It takes about ten minutes before Xavier joins us and Mom is a nervous wreck by that time, but she calms down the moment he wraps his arms around her. “I think it is best if we sit down for this and preferably in your office.” I say as I walk out of the living room.
Once the door is closed behind us I sit down in an armchair, “Dad, when was the Alpha office upgraded?” I ask him and he gives me a huge smile, “Gordon upgraded his office about three years ago, he thought it was time to change a few things in the security on his office and according Gordon it has already paid off. Someone tried to gain access to his office a few days ago, but he was unable to find out who it was or why.” Dad answers me.
“Okay, for me to answer Mom’s question I first have to explain something. After I learned about my Father’s family I spent a lot of time with Anton and I really mean a lot of time, every free moment we had we spent together. Anton told me everything he knew about our family and one day I was asked by Marc and Anton to help them out in the Pack Archives, it was the day my life changed even more.
Alpha Randell wanted to clear out every file that belonged to families that had left the Pack or that had died out, he wanted to make it easier to digitalize the Archive. Marc and Anton had pulled a stunt Luna Vicky didn’t really appreciate and while it was a punishment for them it wasn’t for me. We started out with the high–ranking families and I told Anton I would take care of the Beta family files, he didn’t really fight me on it though.
I was going through the files to see which ones could be brought to another location when I noticed something strange, my Great–Grandfather moved to Crimson Moon Pack instead of taking his Mate to his Pack. There was no mention of the Pack he came from and to this day I don’t know where my Great- Grandfather came from. When I confronted Grandfather with my findings he reluctantly told me the truth, he told me why my Great–Grandfather thought it was saver to stay in his Mate’s Pack.

Yesterday I discovered I have at least two gifts and one of those gifts is why I took my laptop with me when I left the Luna office.
The door to Alpha Gordon’s office wasn’t completely closed when Beta Jacob informed me about the discrepancies in the books and I could hear someone standing close to the door, I heard their heartbeat and breathing. I also saw that the Luna office was lacking in security, so I knew whoever had been listening would try to get my laptop and I believe that person was hoping to erase whatever is wrong with the books.”
I tell them.
Both of them are quiet for a while, I know it is a lot to process and I will give them the time to let it sink in. “Baby Girl, what is the other gift?” Dad asks and I actually laugh as I remember what I told them. “Yesterday morning…” I let the sentence trail off when I realize that they might ask why I was mad at the Boys for what they said, “Tell them the truth when they ask, I doubt they will hold it against us.” Topaz mutters in my head.
“I had been working for a few hours when I needed a small break, I always go for a walk in the gardens and the fastest way to the gardens is through the main living room.” I say and as I tell them what I heard Noah say to the female I feel my anger rise again, I tell them I went out the backdoor and that I stood in the gardens for a long time. “I didn’t know for how long I had been there, but I suddenly heard a very angry Noah yell at me.
He told me they had been looking for me for hours and when I returned to my office I found out I had been in the gardens for a very long time, but none of them believed me when I told them I never left the gardens. They accused me of lying and in my anger I used my Beta aura to make them back down, I left the Pack- house shortly after that.” I tell them before I tell them what I figured out on my way over here.
