CHAPTER 23- IS HE HIDING SOMETHING?
Kylie’s POV
Elijah was one exhausting human, after taking his body measurements, I went to the locker room to take a break. Thankfully, no one had finished their test yet and Jessica said she will cover for me in my absence.
I went to the locker room and pulled out my water bottle to hydrate myself. Since I was here, I decided to check my phone for any updates.
I was scrolling through my phone when I saw a text message which read that two million has been credited to my account. I was flabbergasted.
I immediately checked my bank account to see that the balance had shot up from a few bucks to whole freaking millions. My hands started to shiver and I could not believe what had happened. Who put this money? Was it a mistake?
I checked the bank statement and saw that the money was sent to me under the comment of ‘Lottery‘.
Lottery?
Did I apply for any lottery?
I checked the text again and found a number. I called it to ask what was going on! I had to be careful as scams were pretty widespread lately.
“Hello, how can I help you?” A professional voice said.
“Hi, yes. I just got two million credited to my account. It said it was sent by your company.”
“Please give me a moment.” The operator said before holding up the line. Two minute later, she said, “Hello, thank you for waiting. Are you Kylie Wade?”
“Yes.”
“Congratulations, ma’am. You got that money because you won a lucky draw held by our company. That is your prize money.”
I still could not believe what was happening! I said, “But I did not apply for any lottery.”
“Are you a regular purchaser of Captain’s Cereal?”
“Yes. I do buy them a lot.” I said.
“Captain’s Cereal is our partner company. Every year they conduct this lucky draw for their most loyal customers. Every year someone wins and this year, it happened to be you.”
My head was getting dizzy. So that money is… really mine?
I hung up on the phone and ran straight into the men’s locker room. I need to see Elijah!
As soon as I saw him, I could not hold it inside me anymore. I blurted out everything and ran into his arms, not at all realising that we were in the shower.
So when his towel dropped and I felt his manhood brush against me, I was scared! I immediately pushed him away and screamed, “What is wrong with you?”
“Wrong with me?” He asked in a monotone, “You were the one who bragged into the locker room.”
“I did not realise you were in the shower. You could have told me.”
“Come on, kitten. You think I will miss any opportunity to be naked around you.”
She furrowed and covered her eyes, “You are gross.”
“Don’t act coy. This is not the first time you are seeing me without clothes.”
Elijah loved teasing me and he would never miss an opportunity to do it!
I said, “I am leaving now!”
Just when I said it, I heard the door of the locker room open and a bunch of boys walking in.
I froze! What the fuck! They are going to see me with Elijah and rumours are going to spread.
Even Elijah looked worried about being discovered like this. I asked him, “What do we do now?”
He grabbed my hand and pulled me inside the shower without a warning. I was about to say something but he covered my mouth and said, “Shhhh.”
“Elijah? Is that you?” One of the boys from the group asked and Elijah frowned in frustration. It was my fault that they heard it but he was not the least bit mad.
Instead, he picked me up in his arms so that one one could see I was inside through the space under the door.

I hooked my arms around him and our faces were so close that I could feel his breath on mine. I felt as if I had almost stopped breathing.
Elijah’s teammates stood outside the cubicle and asked, “Yo, cap! Are you alright in there?”
“Yeah. I am fine.”
“Are you sure?”
“Get out before I come out there.” Unable to take it anymore, the boy roared at them, Elijah was a fun captain but everyone knew how temperamental he can be. The boys did not dare to fool around any longer and directly dashed out of the locker
room.
After they left, Elijah looked me in the eye, “We could have got caught.”
“Yeah.” I said before jumping off his arms, “Thank you for that.”
“You can thank me the other way.” He said, his eyes looking lost in some kind of fire.
I asked innocently, “What other way?”
Elijah did not say anything and stared at my lips. Before I could understand what was going on in his mind, he pulled me and shoved a deep kiss on my lips.
I was taken by surprise by his strength and lust. He held me so tight I felt like I would snap into two.
The man did not let me go until I was almost suffocating and breathless. After he was done, he hurried his head on the nook of my neck as both of us caught our breath.
Suddenly, he whispered, “Run.”
“Huh?” I was confused.
He said, “Run away before I catch you and fuck you.”
His voice reeked of lust and his bulging dick testimonied of his desires. I knew it was not nice to stay in the room with a hungry beast so I ran out as he had ordered.
I did not stop until I was back to the common locker room. My face was still burning red because of the little interraction we had in the shower. Elijah wanted me so much that it scared me sometimes.
I know he is unavoidable and I feared what was going to come seeking for me tonight.
I calmed myself down, corrected my hair and walked out of the room.
I saw Jessica who immediately noticed that I looked a little lost and flabbergasted. She asked, “Are you okay? You look as if you had just been throughout a roller coaster.”
Roller coaster? That was a nice way to put what Elijah could do but there was no way I was going to tell her that.
Instead, I told her about the lottery. Jessica’s face immediately lit up and she pulled me in a tight hug, “This is wonderful! Kylie, you are rich!”
I hugged her back and said, “Yes, I don’t need to drop out of school anymore. I will be graduating with flying colours.”
“Of course, you will.” She grinned, “Now go and pay the fees. Today is the last day.”
I had to immediately go see the Principal and give him the news that I had arranged for my fees. I told the coach that it was a matter of urgency and ran straight to the principal’s office.
The man was elated to find that I had arranged the money and immediately processed my fees.
“Miss Wade, welcome back!” He said with a proud smile.
After the process was done, I went back to the stadium. The physical test was almost over and even the nurse was here. She was looking through the measurements and making sure if everything had been done perfectly.
She handed over the record note to Jessica and said, “Good job.”
“Thank you, ma’am.” She said before starting to flip through the pages. Her normal expressions suddenly changed when she saw something on the records.
I asked, “What happened?”
She looked at me and asked, “Kylie, you were the one who recorded Elijah, right? Are you sure you have not made a mistake?” “What? Show me?” The nurse took the note and looked at it. After checking everything, she said, “No no, she did not make a mistake. These are indeed his measurements.”
“What on Earth? Is he a giant or something?” Jessica asked.
The nurse said, “Nobody knows. Elijah has always been different from the rest of the team. Even his wounds heal faster and he hardly gets any injury. He must have some really good genes.”

When Jessica made this remark, I froze. Every time I noticed Elijah doing something inhumanly possible flashed soros ay mind….
Like that time he saved me from in the banquet.
Or the time he healed that cut in just a matter of a day.
Or the way he played football. He was so strong and agile that no one stood a chance in front of him.
Everytime I addressed this, he would brush off the topic and not give me a concrete answer
This all made it more suspicious!
Was he… really a human? Or was he something beyond human?
Was Elijah… hiding something from me?
Is there something I should know about his identity?
