CHAPTER 22- LOTTERY
Elijah’s POV
I got up on my feet and wiped her tears. I said, “Don’t cry, Kitten. I am going to fix this. We are going to fix this together.”
“Mhmmm.” She just grunted and did not say anything.
Jessica came in just in time and was surprised to see me, “Elijah, you are back! Where were you? You know how worried Kylie was?”
“I do. I am sorry for disappearing.” I said, “I had to go to my village to tend to some urgent work.”
“Village? You mean your native place?” Kylie asked.
“Yes. It’s a little far and the signal reception there is not that great.’
“I see. I would love to visit sometimes.” The girl smiled.
“Sure.” I felt my eyes soften, “I will bring you to meet my parents.”.
Our conversation was cut short when we heard the coach make the announcement for the physical test.
Kylie frowned, “It’s today?”
Jessica nodded and said, “I got my mask already. I am not taking any chances.”
The chances she was talking about here was taking the physical measurements of sweaty, smelly teenage boys.
The physical test was a mandatory examination that every athlete has to go through and this year, since they both were interning for the nurse’s office, they were asked to assist the test.
The three of us went out and I watched Kylie as she went to take her position next to the coach.
The test had two parts, one was physical activity and the other was physical measurement. We were asked to take laps around the field, push up and what not.
While I was doing those, I kept looking at Kylie who was talking to Jessica and laughing about something.
Fio could not help but wag his tail at how gorgeous she looked.
He asked, “Do you think she could be our mate?”
Honestly, I did not have any answer for it. We both were 18 and all I had to do was wait for the blood moon night, where successfully unlocked! bond and discover who my
mate will be.

All these years, I was not very enthusiastic about Blood moon nights but now… I really hoped Kylie was mine.

CHAPTER 22 LOTTERY
I was the first one to finish the test and I went over to Kylie to get my body measured.
She closed the blinds and said, “Remove your shirt?”
I smirked, “Damn, kitten. You want me so much?”
“What? Shut up!” Her face turned red, “I need to take your measurements.”
I raised an eyebrow, “Do you need to? We have slept together so many times you should have my measurements by heart.”
“Shhhh!” She put her finger on her juicy lips and asked me to be quiet, “The coach is right there.”
“So what?”
“So he might… mhmmm…”
Before she could finish her sentence, I grabbed her by her waist and shoved in a kiss. Her eyes spread open and after struggling for a long time, I finally let her go.
“Elijah!” She shrieked and I giggled.
“Is everything alright?” The coach called out for us from outside and she was quick to reply, “Yes, sir. There was an insect in the booth.”
She glared at me as she threw the most ridiculous reason at the coach.
“Oh, ok. Be careful!” The man said before going back to his work.
Kylie punched me in my belly and said, “Stop fooling around and let me do my work.”
“Okay, kitten.”
I complied with her and watched as she carefully jotted down my body measurements on the record note. After she was done, she hooked the back of the pen between her lips and watched the records silently.
I put on my shirt and asked, “What are you looking at?”
“Your measurements. You are bigger than average humans.”
“Is that why you can’t get enough of me?”
She rolled her eyes, “I am not talking about that.”
“Come on, don’t lie. It is bigger than average, admit it.”
She shut the book and said, “Yes, it is! But it is besides the point.”
She sounded serious so I stopped messing with her. I did not want her to overthink either; Kylie was smart, it would be troublesome for me if she gets suspicious and starts investigating me.,
I said, “I come from a line of body builders. Maybe that is why I am buffed.”
“Even if your ancestors were bodybuilders and you are naturally buff, you are still gigantic. It is as if you are not a human but a giant!”

I kept a straight face and tried not to react to her words. I simply took the note from her and put it aside, “Stop worrying about my measurements and start worrying about me. I missed you while I was away.”
Kylie visibly blushed but she attempted to show herself as unfazed. She said, “I was alright.”
“Seriously? You did not miss me even a little?”
She shrugged, “No, I don’t think so. Maybe you don’t leave the kinda impression you think you do.”
“Is that so?” I picked her up and put her on the table, “How about I make an impression now?”
“Elijah, are you out of your mind? There are people outside.”
“Yes. Let them see us. It will make quite an impression.”
She pushed me away and asked me to leave. All t could do was laugh and get out of the booth.
Once I was outside, the smile on my face froze and I went back to being my usual self.
I went to the locker room where Dean was already waiting for me. I asked, “Did you do it yet?”
“Yes, but… are you sure you want to do this?”
“She is my girl.” I replied and Dean was smart enough to understand what it meant.
I went inside the shower space and started to undress myself. Just then, I heard the door being banged open.
Kylie came in running, a huge smile plastered on her face, “Elijah! You won’t believe what happened…”
“What?”
“I won a lottery! I won a lottery!”
“That’s amazing! How much did
you win?‘
“It’s two millions!” She squeaked, “Elijah, I am rich!”
“Lucky girl! Now you don’t have to drop out of school.” I said, pretending as if I was not the one who got my Beta to put that money in her account in the name of a lucky draw.
“I will complete my education and with the leftover money, I will start a business. And grow it so big that one day, I will buy my father’s company!”
I laughed at her evil little brain, “Sure, kitten. We will make your company the biggest in. the country.”
She laughed and out of nowhere hugged me. Her moyements caused my towel to fall off.
