A week later, when Louis came to discharge her from the hospital, he brought a formal
dress with him.
“Cersei, there’s a charity auction on a yacht today. Come with me.”
The yacht was brilliantly lit, filled with elite society.
After the auction began, Louis bid on and won a priceless blue diamond necklace, causing a
stir throughout the venue.
Cersei froze for a moment, looking toward him.
Was this for her?
Out of guilt?
But in the next moment, Louis leaned close to her ear and whispered, “Wait for me, I need
to use the restroom.”
He never returned.
Cersei waited for a long time before finally going to the deck for some fresh air.
The night breeze was cool, the sound of waves constant.
She had barely taken position, but then the sound of high heels echoed behind her.
“Well, if it isn’t Cersei,” Violet’s voice was sweet yet grating.
Cersei turned, her gaze falling on Violet’s neck.
The blue diamond necklace gleamed brilliantly around Violet’s throat.
“You didn’t think Louis brought you here to buy you a gift, did you?” Violet stroked the necklace smugly. “Today marks the hundredth day since Louis and I met. I told him it wasn’t necessary, but he insisted.”

She tilted her head, smiling with innocent malice. “This is what ‘meaningful gestures‘ are,
right? He used to do this for you, but now…”
She let out a mocking laugh. “I guess it’s been a while since he’s done anything like this for you, hasn’t it?”
Her biting words cut into Cersei’s chest. Violet had expected Cersei to cry, or at least to look
angry.
But there was nothing. Her face remained an unreadable mask, as if she didn’t care.
And honestly, she didn’t.
From the moment Louis disappeared without returning, she had already anticipated this
outcome.
Seeing she couldn’t provoke the reaction she wanted, Violet became enraged. The emotions
churning inside made her lose control. She stepped forward and shoved Cersei hard.
Caught off guard, Cersei stumbled. Already standing at the edge of the deck, she lost her
balance and tumbled over the railing into the dark ocean below.!
She couldn’t swim. The cold water rushed into her mouth and nose, choking her.
Survival instinct made her struggle desperately, but which only caused her to inhale more water. Panic and terror instantly occupied her mind and she could only call for help.
“Help… help me!”
Violet stood at the edge of the deck in shock, not quite believing the consequences of her
actions. She glanced around but did not call for help. Seeing that no one nearby, she
hurriedly turned and ran away!
The frigid seawater gradually drained Cersei’s body heat and strength. As despair washed
over her, she began to sink deeper.
Just as she thought it was over, someone finally passed by and noticed her struggling in the
water.
“Someone’s fallen overboard! Quick, get help!”

Cersei coughed up the last of the seawater, finally regaining consciousness.
After thanking her rescuers one by one, the crowd gradually dispersed. Only then did Louis finally approach with Violet.
Seeing her drenched and utterly disheveled, his face paled as he rushed forward. “Cersei,
what happened? How did you end up like this?”
Cersei’s lips trembled as she tried to speak. “Ask the person beside you. She can tell you.”
Violet’s face immediately drained of color. She reached for Louis’s hand and brust into tears.
“Cersei, are you saying I pushed you? I know you’ve always disliked me because of Mr.
Harris, but you can’t accuse me like this!”
Wrapped in a blanket provided by the staff, Cersei’s lips were purple from the cold. Too
exhausted to argue with Violet, she simply dialed the police.
“Hello, 911? I’m on the Oasis yacht. Someone deliberately pushed me overboard, and I want
to report it…”
Before she could finish, Louis snatched the phone from her hand.
