Why didn’t she stay wherever the fuck she just crawled out from?
Rage curled through my muscles like a vice, my fingers twitching as I fastened my seatbelt.
“Kester… You have to breathe… You are too tensed,” Kasmine said from beside.
I had booked the next available flight back to New York the second Lance sent that cursed message. Of all the goddamn problems circling me like vultures, Karina was the one I needed to deal with first.
“Kester. What’s going on? You can talk to us,” June asked. Her hand reached toward mine, and I recoiled like she was some disease–ridden mutt.
Instead, I grabbed Kasmine’s hand, the one resting idly on the armrest between us. It squeezed, drawing in the warmth of her skin. Instantly, the chaos in my head steadied- just a little.
She calmed the storm in me always.
The hurt in June’s eyes when I withdrew from her and took my sister’s hand instead was sincerely insignificant. The last thing I gave a fuck about right now was her fragile little
feelings.
The flight seemed longer than necessary. Or, maybe I was the one too agitated.
I had half a mind to order the pilot to speed the hell up, but even I wasn’t that unhinged.
At some point, June fell asleep–of course, she did. My so–called fiancée knocked the fuck out while I was seething. Pathetic.
But Kasmine was still up, watching me to make sure I didn’t do something ‘stupid,‘ in her

I scoffed, tilting my head toward the other side of the aisle where June was still asleem her mouth slightly open. “Well, for starters, you could teach that one how to be awamur Maybe then she wouldnt puss out like a dead fish when her ‘man‘ is on the verge off ripping someone apart.
Kasmine’s lips twitched, but she smothered the amusement.
“No, baby. I’ll be fine, I muttered, shifting to press a kiss to her forehead..
“Should we go to the convenience? Would it make you feel better?” She asked so innocently that it warmed my heart.
Mine was authuilly suggesting to fuck down my anger? How else could I live this girl
more?
“Are you seniously offering to let me fuck the anger out of my systematt 30 feet?”
Kasmine tilted her head slightly, watching me. “If it helps.”

I chuckled darkly, shifting closer, lowering my voice no only she could hear. “No, baby. I can’t fuck you in this state. You might end up in the hospital, and everyone on this plani would hear you scream for mercy. I replied, and surprisingly, I found myself smiling.
