Chapter 91
Mira’s POV
85%
The next day arrived faster than I expected. Luna Marinette was at my door early in the morning, her face glowing with excitement. I had barely finished my breakfast when she clapped her hands together and said, ” Mira, are you ready for the most exciting day of your life? Today, we find your wedding dress!”
I smiled, though my heart was racing. “I think so,” I said, standing up. “Are we really starting this early?”
“Of course,” she said, linking her arm with mine. “We have a lot to do, and I want everything to be perfect.” As we stepped out of the house, Killian was already waiting in the living room. He stood when he saw me, his eyes warm but a little mischievous. “Where are you going without me?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.
I laughed softly. “We’re going to look for my dress,” I said.
“I’m coming with you,” he said firmly, stepping forward.
But Luna Marinette placed a hand on his chest, gently pushing him back. “Absolutely not,” she said, her tone playful but final. “It’s bad luck for the groom to see the bride’s dress before the wedding.”
Killian frowned, looking at me. “I won’t peek, I promise,” he said, but Luna Marinette shook her head. “No, Killian. You’ll have to wait until the wedding day,” she said with a wink. “Trust me, it’ll be worth it.” Killian sighed, crossing his arms. “Fine,” he said, though he didn’t look happy about it. He turned to me, his expression softening. “Have fun, okay? And don’t let her pressure you into anything too fancy.”
I smiled, stepping closer to him. “I’ll be fine,” I said. “You just focus on resting.”
He leaned down, kissing my forehead. “I’ll miss you,” he murmured.
“I’ll miss you too,” I said softly before Luna Marinette pulled me toward the door.
As we got into the car, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of excitement and nerves. “Do we really need to start with those expensive shops?” I asked hesitantly as she drove.
Luna Marinette laughed, glancing at me. “Mira, you’re marrying my son. Nothing but the best for you.”
“But everything there is so expensive,” I said, biting my lip. “I don’t want to waste money.”
She reached over, patting my hand. “Don’t worry about the cost. This is your special day, and you deserve the best. Just focus on finding the dress you love.”
I nodded, though I still felt a little uneasy.
When we arrived at the first shop, I was overwhelmed. The boutique was grand, with crystal chandeliers and rows of sparkling white gowns displayed like works of art. A friendly saleswoman greeted us.
“Good morning, Luna Marinette, Miss,” she said. “Welcome. Are you here to find a wedding gown?”
“Yes,” Luna Marinette said cheerfully. “This is my future daughter–in–law, Mira. She’s looking for something perfect for her wedding next week.”
The saleswoman’s eyes lit up. “Congratulations!” she said to me. “You’ve come to the right place. Let me

As she led us through the shop, my heart raced. There were so many dresses, each more beautiful than the last. Some were simple and elegant, while others were covered in intricate lace and shimmering beads.
“What do you think?” Luna Marinette asked, watching me closely.
“I… I don’t know where to start,” I admitted, feeling a little overwhelmed.
She smiled, taking my hand. “Let’s start with what you like. Do you want something simple or something
more glamorous?”
I thought for a moment before saying, “Something simple but elegant. I don’t want anything too flashy.”
The saleswoman nodded, her expression thoughtful. “I have a few dresses in mind. Why don’t you take a seat, and I’ll bring them to you?”
As I sat down, Luna Marinette squeezed my hand. “You’re doing great, Mira,” she said. “This is your day. Don’t be afraid to choose what you love.”
The saleswoman returned with a handful of dresses, each more stunning than the last. The first was a classic A–line gown with delicate lace sleeves and a flowing skirt. “This one is timeless,” she said, holding it
- up.
“It’s beautiful,” I said, running my fingers over the lace.
“Try it on,” Luna Marinette encouraged.
In the fitting room, I slipped into the dress with the saleswoman’s help. When I stepped out, Luna Marinette gasped. “Oh, Mira,” she said, her eyes shining. “You look like a princess.”
I turned to the mirror, my breath catching. The dress was beautiful, but something about it didn’t feel quite right. “I like it,” I said slowly. “But I don’t think it’s the one.”
“That’s okay,” Luna Marinette said quickly. “We’ll keep looking.”
The next dress was a mermaid style with a sweetheart neckline and intricate beading. It hugged my figure, and I felt a little self–conscious as I stepped out.
“It’s stunning,” Luna Marinette said, her voice soft. “But… does it feel like you?”
I shook my head, smiling apologetically. “Not really,” I admitted.
“That’s fine,” she said. “We’ll keep going.”
Dress after dress, I tried them on, each one beautiful but not quite right. I was starting to feel discouraged when the saleswoman brought out one last gown.
“This just came in,” she said. “It’s a ballgown with a fitted bodice and a flowing skirt. The lace detailing is exquisite, and the pearl buttons down the back add a touch of elegance.”
As I stepped into the dress and looked at myself in the mirror, my heart skipped a beat. The dress was everything I had dreamed of and more. The lace was delicate, the skirt flowed like a dream, and the bodice fit perfectly.
When I stepped out, Luna Marinette’s hand flew to her mouth. “Oh, Mira,” she whispered, her eyes filling with tears. “That’s the one.”
I turned to the mirror, tears welling in my own eyes. “It’s perfect,” I said softly, running my hands over the fabric. “I love it.”

“Then it’s settled,” Luna Marinette said, her voice firm. “This is your dress.”
The saleswoman smiled. “It’s a wonderful choice,” she said.
As we finalized the details, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. I had found my dress, and it was everything
had hoped for.
On the drive back, Luna Marinette looked over at me, her expression ward“You’re going to be the most beautiful bride, Mira,” she said.
“Thank you,” I said, my voice filled with gratitude. “I couldn’t have done this without you.”
She smiled, reaching over to squeeze my hand. “I’m so happy to have you in our family” she said. “And I know Killian will be speechless when he sees you in that dress.”
I laughed softly, my cheeks flushing. “I hope so,” I said.
As we pulled into the driveway, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. The wedding was coming together, and for the first time in a long time, I felt truly happy.
Luna Marinette gave me a quick hug before heading inside, leaving me to find Killian. When I stepped into the living room, he looked up from the couch, his eyes lighting up when he saw me.
“How was it?” he asked, standing up.
“It was perfect,” I said, smiling.
“Did you find the dress?” he asked, his voice filled with curiosity.
I nodded, unable to hide my excitement. “I did.”
“Can I see it?” he asked, his eyes hopeful.
I shook my head, laughing. “Not until the wedding.”
He sighed, pulling me into his arms. “Fine,” he said, resting his chin on my head. “But I’m sure you’ll look beautiful.”
“Thank you,” I said softly and wrapped my arms around him.
