Chapter 80
Mira’s POV

The darkness started to change. It felt lighter, softer. I could feel my wolf’s presence growing stronger, her warmth wrapping around me like a protective cocoon. She was my anchor, my guide through the void.
“Close your eyes, Mira,” she said gently. “Focus on the bond. Feel the strength of those who love you. Let their light guide you back.”
I did as she said. I closed my eyes and reached out with my senses. At first, there was nothing but the endless void. Then, slowly, I felt something–a faint warmth, a spark. It pulsed like a heartbeat, steady and
strong.
“That’s Killian,” I whispered.
“Yes,” my wolf said. “He is calling to you. His love is your tether. Follow it, Mira. Follow him.”
I reached for the warmth, letting it pull me closer. As I moved, I felt other threads of light–my father, my pack, even my friends. They were all there, their love and hope weaving a net to catch me.
Tears filled my eyes as the weight of their emotions washed over me. “They’re waiting for me,” I said, my
voice trembling.
“Yes,” my wolf said, her voice steady. “But you must fight, Mira. The path back will not be easy. You have to want it with all your heart.”
“I do,” I said firmly. “I’ll fight with everything I have. I’m not giving up.”
She smiled, her golden eyes glowing. “Then hold on to me, and together, we’ll break through.”
I gripped her fur tightly as the light around us grew brighter. The warmth of Killian’s bond burned brighter now. It was a beacon calling me home.
Killian’s POV
The hospital was too quiet. Each passing second felt like a lifetime. I sat on the edge of my seat, my eyes fixed on the hallway where Mira had been taken.
Mira’s dad hadn’t said much in the past hour. He sat beside me, his head bowed, his hands clasped tightly together as if in prayer. My father stood nearby, his arms crossed and his expression unreadable.
“She’ll wake up,” I muttered for the hundredth time. “She has to.”
Just then, a nurse rushed into the waiting area. Her face was flushed, and her eyes wide.
“She is awake,” she said breathlessly. “Mira has regained consciousness.”
The words hit me like a lightning bolt. I shot to my feet, my heart pounding. “She is awake?” I repeated. I was barely able to believe it.
The nurse nodded, a small smile on her lips. “Yes. She is asking for you.”
I turned to Mira’s dad, my voice shaking with emotion. “The Goddess heard our prayers,” I said, my throat
tight.

Mira’s dad’s eyes filled with tears, and he let out a shaky breath. “Thank the Goddess,” he whispered. “Thank the Goddess for bringing her back”
I didn’t wait another second. I rushed down the hallway, following the nurse. My heart was racing, my mind
spinning. She was awake. She was alive.
When I reached her room, I stopped in the doorway. Mira was lying on the bed, her face pale but her eyes open. She looked tired, but when she saw me, she smiled–a small, weak smile that made my heart ache with
relief
“Mira,” I breathed, stepping into the room.
“Killian,” she said softly.
I was at her side in an instant, taking her hand in mine. Her skin was warm, her pulse steady beneath my
fingers.
“You scared me,” I said, my voice breaking. “I thought I lost you.”
Her smile widened slightly. “I’m sorry,” she said. “I didn’t mean to worry you.”
I shook my head, unable to stop the tears that streamed down my face. “You don’t have to apologize,” I said. ” You’re here. That’s all that matters.”
Mira’s dad entered the room then, his eyes red but filled with relief. He walked over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder.
“You are a fighter, Mira,” he said, his voice thick with emotion. “You’ve always been a fighter.”
She looked up at him, her eyes glistening. “I couldn’t leave,” she said softly. “Not when I have so much to fight
for”
Her words made my chest tighten. I leaned down and pressed a kiss to her forehead. “You’re not alone,” I said. “We’re all here for you, Mira. Always.”
Mira’s POV
The warmth of Killian’s touch and the love in his eyes made the pain in my body bearable. My father’s steady presence, his hand on my shoulder, grounded me further.
“I felt you,” I whispered, looking at Killian. “Even in the darkness, I felt your love. It’s what brought me back.” Killian’s eyes filled with tears, and he nodded. “I never stopped believing in you,” he said. “Not for a second.” My father squeezed my shoulder gently. “You’ve always been my brave girl,” he said. “You saved us all, Mira. You’re a hero.”
I shook my head weakly. “I didn’t do it alone,” I said. “It was all of us. The pack. The bonds we share.”
Killian brushed a strand of hair from my face. “You’re incredible, Mira,” he said. “And I’ll spend the rest of my life making sure you know that.”
The room grew quiet as we all absorbed the weight of what had happened. Despite the pain and exhaustion, I felt a sense of peace. I had fought. I had survived. And I wasn’t alone.
“Thank you,” I said, my voice barely audible. “For believing in me. For never giving up on me.”

Killian leaned closer, his forehead resting against mine. “Always,” he said softly. “I’ll always believe in you”
And in that moment, surrounded by the people I loved most, I knew I was home.
