My Chice 44

My Chice 44

_Killian’s POV_

The witch’s cottage was silent, except for the soft crackle of the fire in the hearth. I watched her closely as she took the hairbrush from me, handling it with surprising care. Her silver hair shimmered in the dim light, and her eyes gleamed with an otherworldly intensity

We don’t have much time, she said, her voice soft but firm. Aaron is not someone to underestimate. He is

cruel and cunning.”

I nodded, swallowing the lump in my throat. Just tell me what to do. I’ll do anything to save Mira.”

She gave a faint smile, her eyes softening. Your love for her is strong. That will help. She moved gracefully to a small table cluttered with bottles of colorful liquids, herbs, and candles. She plucked a few bottles from the shelves, each one filled with shimmering liquids in shades of blue, gold, and crimson

I sat on the edge of my seat, my hands clenched into fists. Every second felt like an eternity. Will thiswork? Can you really find her with this?I asked, my voice filled with both hope and desperation

The witch glanced at me, her expression calm. Yes, but it requires focus and precision. Patience, Killian.”

I took a deep breath and nodded. Leo, my wolf, growled in frustration in the back of my mind, but I pushed

him down, trying to keep calm

The witch placed the strands of Mira’s hair into a small, intricately carved bowl. She whispered something under her breath, words I didn’t recognize but felt the power of. The air in the room shifted, growing heavier. She poured the shimmering blue liquid into the bowl first, followed by a few drops of gold. The mixture hissed and began to swirl on its own

I leaned forward, my eyes locked on the bowl. Nothing seemed to happen at first. The liquid simply swirled, a mesmerizing dance of colors

The witch’s eyes snapped open, and she stared into the bowl. There, she whispered. I see it.”

my voice hoarse

She didn’t answer immediately, her gaze distant. Then, she turned to me, her expression grave. Aaron has taken her to a tower deep within the Red Forest, south of the Blue Moon Pack’s territory.”

I followed her gaze, but all I saw was the swirling liquid. What do you see?I asked

My heart pounded in my chest. Is sheIs she hurt?”

No,the witch assured me. “He hasn’t harmed her. Not yet. But you must hurry. Time is running out.”

Relief flooded me, but it was fleeting. I needed to act fast. I stood up, ready to leave. Thank you,” I said

quickly. I’ll go now.”

Wait,” the witch said, holding up a hand. There is something else.”

I paused, my brow furrowed as I watched her move to a wooden chest in the corner of the room. She opened it slowly, rummaging through its contents until she pulled out two silver chains, each adorned with a crescent moon pendant. The pendants glowed faintly in the dim light

These are amulets of protection, she explained, handing them to me. They will shield you from dark magic and any evil force that might try to harm you.”

I took the chains, feeling the cool metal against my skin. Thank you. I’ll make sure Mira gets hers.”

The witch’s eyes darkened. I had given one to Mira but Sophia took it from her. Without it, she was vulnerable. That is how Aaron was able to take her so easily.”

Sophia. Her name alone made my blood boil. I clenched my jaw, my fists tightening around the amulets

There’s more,” the witch continued, drawing my attention back to her. She reached into the chest once more and pulled out a silver dagger. Its blade was sleek and sharp, with intricate runes etched along the hilt. It seemed to hum with power as she handed it to me

This dagger is sacred, she said, her voice low and serious. If you encounter Aaron, you must pierce his heart with it. It’s the only way to stop him.”

I stared at the dagger, its weight heavy in my hand. Pierce his heart,” I repeated, my voice barely above

whisper

The witch nodded. Remember that, Killian. His heart. Nothing else will work.”

I slipped the dagger into the sheath on my belt, my resolve hardening. I won’t let him hurt her. I’ll do whatever it takes to bring Mira back.”

The witch placed a hand on my shoulder, her touch surprisingly gentle. Be careful, Killian. Aaron is dangerous, but with the blessing of the Moon Goddess, you will prevail.”

Her words filled me with a sense of calm I hadn’t felt in days. I nodded, grateful for her help. Thank you. For everything.”

Go now,she urged. And may the Moon Goddess guide you.”

I turned and left the cottage, stepping into the cool night air. The stars overhead seemed to twinkle with a new light, as if they were watching over me. I gripped the amulets tightly, determination surging through me. Mira was waiting for me. And I wouldn’t stop until she was safe in my arms
