Killian’s POV

I paced back and forth in the hallway outside Mira’s mother’s room, my mind spinning with all the things that had happened. The hours since her disappearance felt like days, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that time. was running out. Leo was agitated inside my mind, his growls constant as he sensed Mira’s danger. Every minute, every second, it felt like I was losing her

I needed to find her. I had to

Sophia had been nothing but trouble. Every moment I spent with her felt like a lie, a twisted game that I had been too blind to see. It was all her fault. She had betrayed her sister, used me, and manipulated me in ways I couldn’t even begin to understand. And Aaron? The Alpha of the Blue Moon pack? Why was he doing this? What did he want with Mira

My mind churned with the questions, but none of the answers made any sense. Why would Aaron want to separate me from Mira? Why go to such extreme lengths to tear us apart

The door to Mira’s mother’s room opened, and the doctor stepped out, a serious look on his face

She is out of danger, the doctor said. But she’ll need a lot of rest. She is stable but we’re keeping her under

  • observation.”

Relief washed over me, but it was shortlived. Mira’s disappearance was the only thing I could focus on. My father had sent guards to the accident site, but it seemed like they were running out of leads. We needed something more, something solid

The doctor cleared his throat. Mira’s father would like to speak with you,” he said, his voice gentle

I nodded and followed the doctor into the room

Mira’s father was sitting up, his face pale and drawn. He looked frail, but his eyes were sharp as he gestured

for me to come closer. I walked over, careful not to cause him any discomfort

I need you to listen carefully,he said, struggling to get the words out. There’s someone who can help you

find Mira. A woman, an old witch. She lives in a cottage by the willow tree on the eastern border of our pack’s

territory.”

I stared at him, confused. A witch? Are you sure she can help us?”

He nodded weakly. She is a good person. I have known her for years. If anyone can track Mira, it’s her.”

I took a deep breath, my mind racing. I’ll go. I’ll find her.”

He smiled faintly, though it was obvious he was exhausted. I can’t go with youBut please, do everything

you can to bring Mira back.”

I will,I promised, my voice steady despite the storm inside me. I’ll find her.”

I left the room and made my way out of the hospital, my thoughts consumed by the urgency of the situation. As I walked toward the parking lot, I spotted Sophia sitting on a bench, her eyes downcast. looked so different from the woman I had once thought I loved. I wanted to yell at her, demand answers, but I forced myself to stay calm. I wasn’t here for her

I ignored her as I passed, my mind focused on one thing: finding Mira

+ Poets

The drive to the eastern border was a blur. My hands gripped the steering wheel so tightly that my knuckles. turned white. Leo was restless, growling in my head, his frustration mirrored my own. Every minute felt like a lifetime as I scanned the trees for any sign of the willow tree

I was starting to doubt myself. What if this was a wild goose chase? What if Mira was lost to me forever? The thought made my chest tighten, but I couldn’t let myself think like that. I had to stay focused. I had to find

her

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I spotted the willow tree. Its long, sweeping branches hung low, creating a shadow over the small cottage nestled beneath it. I parked my car and got out, my heart pounding in my chest. This was it. This was the place

I walked up to the door and knocked, my fists clenched in anticipation. A few moments later, the door creaked open, revealing an old woman with long silver hair. Her pale eyes locked onto mine, and her lips curved into a knowing smile

You have come at last,” she said, her voice soft but carrying a weight that made me uneasy. I was expecting

you.”

How did you know I was coming?I asked, my brows furrowed in confusion

She stepped aside and motioned for me to enter. I’ve been waiting for you, Killian. I have my ways. She closed the door behind me, and I took in the strange surroundings. The house was filled with books scattered everywhere, some open, others piled high in corners. Glass bottles filled with strange liquids lined the shelves, and the scent of herbs and incense filled the air. A large cauldron sat bubbling on the stove, adding to the eerie atmosphere

Sit,the witch said, pointing to a couch near the fire. I did as she asked, my mind still racing

I’m looking for Mira,” I said, my voice strained with urgency. She has been taken by someoneAaron, the Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack. I need to find her. I’ll do whatever it takes.”

The witch nodded, her eyes narrowing. Aaron, yes. He is behind the accident. He is a dangerous man. But I can help you. I can track herbut I need something of hers.”

I frowned, confused. What do you mean? Something of hers?”

Anything,” she said, her voice calm. A nail, a strand of hair, even dead skin. Anything that belonged to her.”

My stomach dropped. “I don’t have anything like that,I said, my voice tight. I don’t even know where to find something like that.”

The witch sat still for a long moment, her eyes distant as if she were thinking. Then she spoke again. Mira must have brushed her hair recently. Perhaps there’s some hair left in her brush.”

My heart skipped a beat. Her hairbrush,I muttered to myself. Of course.”

The witch nodded. Yes. That’s your best bet. But you must hurry. Time is running out. Aaron is very dangerous, and Mira’s life is at risk.”

I didn’t waste another second. I stood up quickly. Thank you. I’ll be back soon.”

The drive to Mira’s house felt like it took forever. My mind raced with fear, but I pushed it aside. I had to stay

When I arrived at Mira’s house, Sophia was already there. She gave me a look but didn’t say anything. I didn’t have time for her. I stormed past her and ran to Mira’s room, my eyes scanning the room for any sign of her

hairbrush

I searched through the drawers, under the bed, and on the desk. But there was nothing. My frustration

mounted, and I began to make a mess of everything

Sophie finally spoke. What are you looking for?”

I didn’t answer her. I couldn’t afford to waste time on her right now. I had to find the hairbrush

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, I spotted it on the dresser. It was tucked behind a few books. My heart raced as I picked it up, inspecting it closely. There were strands of hair in it. I hoped it was enough

Is this Mira’s brush?I asked, holding it up to Sophia

She looked at it, her face blank. Yes, that’s hers. But what are you doing with it?”

I didn’t answer her as I stormed out of the house, my mind already on the next step

The drive back to the witch’s cottage felt like it took longer than before. I gripped the steering wheel tightly, my heart pounding in my chest. I couldn’t shake the feeling that time was slipping away

When I arrived, the witch was waiting for me. I handed her the hairbrush without a word

She smiled and began to prepare her magic. I watched as she placed the hair into a small bowl and began chanting softly, her hands moving in strange patterns over the bowl
