Chapter 9
Chapter 9
These pointed questions struck like a thunderbolt, completely shattering the composure Nathan had just regained over the crowd.
“Now that you mention it, that little boy really does look a lot like Nathan Reed!”
Actually, the little girl’s eyes are similar to Mr. Reed’s too. The more flook, the more they resemble each other.”
“So these twins aren’t Nathan Reed’s adopted children at all? They’re his illegitimate son and daughter that he had with another woman?”
“No wonder Olivia wants to divorce him! Anyone in her position would go crazy!
In fact, some sharp eyed guests had noticed the resemblance between Nathan and the twins as soon as the banquet began.
But those who could land an invitation to a high society event were all shrewd and perceptive.
Even if they noticed something amiss, they wouldn’t comment on it.
After all, the Reed family had immense wealth and power. No one dared to offend Nathan Reed.
However, now that the reporter had dragged the issue into the open, the nature of the situation had changed.
It was as if the last shred of a tattered cloak of secrecy had been ripped away, exposing all the filth hidden in the dark. The banquet instantly descended into utter chaos. Even Nathan was powerless to rein in the situation.
To make matters worse, at this exact moment, Olivia’s divorce attorney Hank Larson pushed the divorce agreement in front of Nathan again.
“Mr. Reed, just sign the papers,” Hank smiled. “The sooner you sign, the sooner this all ends.”
“Fuck off!” Nathan snapped, temper flaring. At the end of his rope, he directly snatched the divorce agreement from Hank’s hands and viciously tore it to shreds.
But the lawyer Hank seemed to have anticipated Nathan’s reaction. As soon as Nathan finished shredding the papers, Hank smilingly pulled out another identical copy of the divorce agreement from his briefcase.
“Mr. Reed, I advise you to sign willingly,” Hank said. “Don’t make this difficult for me.”
“After all, Miss Reed paid me a sizable sum to help her end this ill–fated marriage.”
“If you insist on being uncooperative, I’ll have no choice but to resort to other measures…”
Before Hank could finish, Nathan suddenly grabbed him by the collar. “Who the hell do you think you are? What gives you the right to talk to me like
that?”
“Where’s Olivia? I want to see her!”
Faced with an enraged Nathan, Hank showed no trace of fear. He maintained his fox–like smile, cunning gleaming in his eyes.
“Miss Reed doesn’t want to see you,” Hank said. “She’s already left, but before she did, she sent me some very interesting things.”
Saying this, Hank paused, then took out his phone and pulled up a video.
In the video, Claire was on her knees in front of Nathan’s crotch. She laughed seductively while reaching out to unbuckle his belt…
The video was muted. Hank had the discretion to cover the screen with his hand, showing the explicit footage only to Nathan without letting others see.
“I assume you also don’t want any others viewing this video, right Mr. Reed?”

Hank smiled as he once again placed the divorce papers in front of Nathan.
“So sign the papers. As soon as you do, I’ll delete the video.”
“But if you refuse to sign, I’m afraid I’ll have no choice but to hand this video over to the media… I’m sure they’ll be extremely interested in it, as well as in your relationship with Miss Claire…”
