Chapter 20
“Nathan, Michael and Anna are your flesh and blood! You’ll pay for what you’re doing? Claire screamed hysterically, but it was useless,
A group of doctors in white coats forcibly dragged her away.
Nathan had publicly claimed that Claire had “cancer” and needed chemotherapy.
But in reality, Claire didn’t have cancer at all.
Cancer patients undergo chemotherapy where the treatment helps kill cancer cells in their bodies, but while killing cancer cells, the machine also destroy’s healthy cells.
That’s why chemotherapy is extremely painful.
Many cancer patients become increasingly weak during chemotherapy, gradually lose their hair, and grow more emaciated by the day.
Now Claire, who didn’t have cancer, was being forced by doctors to undergo chemotherapy daily.
All the side effects of chemotherapy appeared in her body. Her hair fell out in clumps–soon her once thick, beautiful locks were nearly gone. Her skin began to age rapidly, covered with dark spots and wrinkles…
In less than a month, Claire looked as if she’d aged fifteen years overnight.
But that wasn’t the worst part. The worst was that Nathan had ordered the doctors to surgically remove Olivia’s uterus from Claire’s body.
Without a uterus, women naturally age faster.
The only reason Olivia hadn’t aged rapidly was because Nathan had spent a fortune on special medication from overseas, instructing the housekeeper to mix it into Olivia’s meals three times a day.
That’s why Olivia hadn’t experienced accelerated aging after losing her uterus.
Now that Nathan felt nothing but disgust for Claire, he certainly wouldn’t buy any special medication for her.
So after losing her uterus, Claire aged even more rapidly!
As for Claire’s two children, just as Nathan had said, they were sent to a distant branch of the Reed family.
Though it was a distant branch, the Reed family was vast and wealthy. Logically, the two children should have lived comfortably there.
But many in the Reed family had already figured out that these children were Nathan’s illegitimate offspring with Claire.
Because of this, Olivia was pushing for divorce from Nathan.
Everyone in the Reed family knew that Olivia was Nathan’s most treasured person. Offending Nathan might still leave you with a chance at life, since you could beg Olivia to intercede on your behalf. But if you offended Olivia, you were completely finished.
The servants in wealthy families were always quick to suck up to those in power and step on those who’d fallen from grace.
Since these children’s mother had offended Olivia, the Reed family servants naturally wouldn’t treat the two little ones well.
The future for these twins would likely be grim!
But Nathan couldn’t care less about any of that. His mind was entirely focused on returning to Alaska and bringing Olivia back!
“Olivia, please, just give me ten minutes to explain everything.” After flying back to Alaska, Nathan immediately found Olivia. Kneeling before her, he repented from the depths of his heart.
“Olivia, Claire and I are completely finished. I’ve sent the children away too.”

“I swear, I’ll never let Claire or those bastards she bore anywhere near you again.”
“From now on, my heart and my entire being belong only to you. And all my assets–I’ll transfer everything into your name.”
“I know I was wrong. Please give me one more chance. I promise I won’t disappoint you this time.”
“If I ever betray you again, you can throw me out of the house with nothing!”
