The punch landed with vicious intent, knocking out one of Nathan’s teeth and drawing blood from the corner of his mouth.
“Fuck!” he cursed under his breath, then spat a bloody glob onto the ground. “James, what the hell are you playing hero for?”
“Olivia is MY wife. This is between us–what gives you the right to interfere?!”
Hearing this, Olivia shot Nathan an icy glare. “Nathan, don’t forget you already signed the divorce papers. We’re divorced now.”
“What divorce? I don’t recognize it,” Nathan said through gritted teeth. “That divorce agreement was signed under duress from Hank. It doesn’t count for shit.”
“Besides, I only signed those papers to use her to find you!”
“Olivia, I love you. I don’t want a divorce. You’re my life–I can’t exist without you!”
Faced with Nathan’s passionate declaration, Olivia felt nothing but disgust.
She couldn’t be bothered wasting more words on Nathan and pulled out her phone to call the police.
Seeing this, Nathan rushed forward in panic, trying to stop Olivia from making the call.
But once again, he was blocked. James stepped forward like a descending war god, positioning himself firmly between Olivia and Nathan.
“Nathan, didn’t you hear what Olivia said? She’s divorced you!”
“Leave immediately and stop harassing her, or I won’t be so nice about it!”
Nathan was already furious, and with James repeatedly provoking him, he completely lost it.
“James, am I giving you too much face?!” In his rage, Nathan couldn’t control himself anymore and swung his fist directly at James’s face!
But James wasn’t defenseless. He seemed to have anticipated Nathan’s attack, and before Nathan’s fist could connect, James had already prepared, dodging to the side.
The two men were soon locked in a brawl.
Both had bottled–up anger to release.
Nathan resented James for butting into his business, while James despised Nathan for not treasuring Olivia after marrying her, for mistreating the woman he once idolized–something James found unforgivable.
“James, I knew you had feelings for Olivia, you shameless homewrecker! I’m going to beat the crap out of you today!”
“Damn right I care about Olivia! You won her heart, but instead of cherishing her, you cheated after marriage and broke her heart. You’re suck a jerk–you never deserved her!”
“You’re the one coming between a married couple, and you think you’re in the right? Let me tell you–Olivia is MINE. She married ME, so she’s mine for life. Just forget about stealing her away!”
“Nathan, do you think we’re living in the Dark Ages? People could get divorced after marriage. Keep dreaming if you think you can own Olivia forever!”
Both men were trained fighters–James in kickboxing and Nathan in boxing.
Trading blow for blow, the fight remained evenly matched.
Fortunately, Olivia had already called the police.

Chapter 15
Soon, officers arrived on the scene, and both James and Nathan were handcuffed.
“Officers, thank God you’re here,” Nathan said in fluent local language. “The woman who called you is my wife. We were having a minor disagreement and I was explaining things to her when this guy came out of nowhere and punched me
Nathan pointed at James indignantly. “This guy! He assaulted me without provocation and interfered in our private marital business?”
“Officers, please arrest him immediately!”
