My nose tinged with warmth, a wave of emotion washing over me. Love and
indifference show in the details. I choked back a sob. “What if you were wrong?”
He leaned back, mischief sparkling in his dark eyes, the sunlight casting a
shadow on his high nose. He smirked, his lips curling into a cheeky grin, his long
fingers tapping the table. “Then rinse it down with water. Either way, you have to
finish what I brought you today.”
His presence was commanding, as domineering as ever.
But I felt like crying.
“I like it, I really do.” I mumbled softly.
In the past, I only saw Kevin as arrogant and overbearing; I had never
witnessed him being this considerate to anyone. It had been so long since anyone

about the scholarship; even if you don’t get it, we’ll pay for your university. We’ll
give you anything you want.‘
She sobbed, looking at him with tear–filled eyes. “But… I want to rely on my

affection..”
“I know, you are the most diligent. This is Bella’s fault; no one will say
anything to you. Don’t cry,” Seth’s tone softened with concern.
I had no interest in watching their brother–sister drama, so I skirted around
them, staying on the edge.
Even so, Seth noticed me.
He frowned, his gaze sharp. “Bella, where are you going? Can’t you see Sarah
and me? You’re getting more and more out of line; you don’t even greet your
Fourth Brother anymore?”
