Chapter 15
Talon rushed to Los Angeles overnight. As soon as he reached Emma’s neighborhood, he spotted her walking out.
He was about to approach when he saw Ryan beside her.
Emma and Ryan were holding hands, and Ryan said something that made Emma laugh brightly.
This radiant smile on Emma’s face transfixed Talon. He recalled how she used to smile at him the same way, but now all those smiles belonged to someone else.
Talon didn’t approach, instead hiding behind some bushes, watching their intimate interaction almost masochistically.
Talon followed Emma and Ryan, watching them enter another complex and go upstairs together.
He could barely restrain himself, wanting to rush upstairs and stop them.
Just as Talon was about to go up, he saw Ryan come down alone and drive away, which finally calmed him.
Talon reasoned that they couldn’t possibly be a real couple–Ryan’s boyfriend status must be Emma’s way of making him jealous.
With this thought, Talon felt hopeful again.
Early the next morning, Talon dressed carefully, bought a bouquet of flowers, and went to Emma’s doorstep,
Emma had just woken up when she heard knocking. Assuming it was Ryan, she called out while opening the door: “Why are you here so early?”
Seeing Talon at the door, Emma instinctively tried to close it, but Talon quickly blocked it, offering her the flowers.
Emma didn’t accept his flowers, instead coldly questioning: “How did you

address? Did you stalk me?!”
Talon avoided answering her question, speaking earnestly: “Emma, I was wrong before. I’m here to seek your forgiveness…”
Emma had no patience for whatever Talon was saying and just wanted to close the door.
However, Talon was too strong, and the door gradually opened wider instead.
At that moment, Ryan emerged from the elevator, saw Talon at Emma’s door, and quickly stepped forward to pull him aside, positioning Emma behind him protectively.
“Talon, what are you trying to do to Emma?”
Ignoring Ryan, Talon continued his heartfelt confession to Emma:
“Emma, I’ve broken up with Sophia.”
“Before, I was wrong, but now I recognize my mistake and understand my true feelings.”
“Emma, you don’t need to use Ryan to make me jealous anymore.”
Emma couldn’t believe Talon’s audacity:
“Talon Sullivan, I’m with Ryan because he’s wonderful and I like him. It has nothing to do with you. I’ve already made myself clear–we’re done, completely.”
Talon refused to believe Emma’s words, stubbornly recounting her past pursuit of him.
Emma couldn’t stand it anymore and interrupted him: “Talon, I’ve forgotten everything. Please leave me alone.”
Talon froze, his voice trembling “Emma, what do you mean by ‘forgotten everything‘?”
“When you abandoned me for Sophia that time, I had an accident. I lost my memory. I forgot everything about you,”
Talon could hardly believe it. Without those 7 years of memories, there was nothing binding Emma to him anymore.
Chapter 15
“Didn’t you always hate me following you? Isn’t this better? I’ve forgotten you, and you’ll never be bothered by me again.”
“No, Emma, I, I didn’t, I do like you…”
Talon fumbled desperately to explain.
Ryan, seeing Emma had said her piece, pushed the still–shocked Talon aside.
“Talon, Emma has made herself perfectly clear. Please don’t harass my girlfriend again, or next time we’ll handle this through the police.”
With that, Ryan closed the door, shutting a desolate, dazed Talon outside.
Talon sat slumped against the wall for a long time before whispering to the door: “Emma, if your memory returns, will you come back to me?”
Talon firmly believed that if Emma regained her memory, she would definitely return to
him.
After all, she had pursued him for 7 years–how could she let go so quickly?
Talon returned to Boston and searched his home for anything related to Emma, hoping to
use these items to help her recover her memory.
But after scouring the entire house, Talon only found a small sachet Emma had made for
him in a storage room corner–nothing else.
Talon asked the housekeeper: “What happened to Emma’s gifts that were in the storage
room?”
The housekeeper replied: “Didn’t you tell us to throw them away, sir?”
Hearing this, Talon dismissed them with a frustrated wave, continuing his search in hopes
of finding more mementos of their time together.
Talon took what little he’d found and hurried back to Los Angeles, waiting outside Emma’s
building until he spotted her coming down with Ryan.
Disregarding Ryan’s presence, Talon presented the items to Emma.
Chapter 15
“Emma, do you remember this sachet? At the time, you said…”
Emma directly threw Talon’s offering to the ground:
“Talon, do you think you can win me back with these things? I’ve told you very clearly: I
don’t remember. Let’s not see each other again. Stop harassing me!”
