Chapter 1
After a car accident, she lost all her memory of her crush, Talon Sullivan.
Her bestie told her that she had humbly loved him for 7 long years. However, throughout those seven years, his heart had always belonged to another woman. Eventually, because of that woman, he abandoned her on the highway, which led to her car accident.
Hearing this, she finally decided to let go. But in the very next second, Talon rushed over and desperately hugged her, pleading, “Emma, could you be my girlfriend?”
After a car accident, Emma Pierce lost her memory.
She remembered everyone–except Talon Sullivan.
After keeping vigil for several days, her best friend Zoe Sullivan discovered Emma truly couldn’t remember this name and her expression changed dramatically.
“Emma, it’s just us here now. Tell me, is this some new game you’re playing? Trying to get my
brother’s attention?”
Emma looked bewildered, her eyes filled with confusion. “No, I really don’t remember. Who is he?”
“You’re not lying? Then swear it!”
Faced with this doubt, Emma didn’t hesitate, immediately making a solemn promise.
Seeing that Emma would swear such a serious oath, Zoe was thunderstruck, vigorously shaking her
shoulders.
“You really lost your memory, but forgot only my brother?!”
Emma didn’t understand why this was so shocking and couldn’t help asking: “Who exactly is Talon
Sullivan?”
Zoe’s expression became peculiar, looking at Emma with exasperation before explaining bit by bit: “Talon is my brother. Years ago when you came to our house, you fell for him at first sight and chased after him for seven whole years…‘

Hearing Zoe ramble on about these events, Emma’s mind went blank.
“So is he my boyfriend now?”
Embarrassment flashed across Zoe’s face. “No. My brother was always cold toward you. He only has eyes for his first love, Sophia Chen. When they broke up years ago, he was so devastated he drank himself to death. Now that she’s back, he dropped you on that rainy highway just to pick her up- that’s how you got in the crash and lost memory.”
Those few sentences left Emma shocked and speechless, her expression incredibly complex.
“From what you’re saying, your brother was so cold to me, already had someone he liked, and even hurt me because of her… what did I see in him? Are you sure you’re not making this up?”
“How could I make this up? Everyone knows you were crazy about my brother.”
Zoe shook her head, quickly handing Emma her phone, gesturing for her to unlock it.
Emma took it with skepticism, typing in a string of numbers, but couldn’t unlock it.

“Your password isn’t your favorite singer anymore–it’s my brother’s birthday: 0715!”
Following Zoe’s instruction, Emma successfully unlocked the phone.
Opening the photo gallery, thousands of pictures of an unfamiliar man flooded her screen.
She stared at his stunningly handsome face for a long time before realizing that what Zoe said must
be true.
Because Talon’s appearance was exactly her ideal type.
But in these photos taken from various angles, his every glance toward her was cold and
emotionless.
As she continued looking, Emma felt a tightness in her chest and opened the Notes app.
Inside were detailed records of everything related to Talon–his likes and dislikes, his preferences
and aversions.
Beyond this were daily entries documenting her unrequited love.

be rejected again, as expected. Talon, you say we can never be together, but I still can’t let you go.”
“You got drunk again today, mistaking me for her, calling her name hundreds of times. You said you couldn’t forget her, that even knowing there’s no response, you still want to wait like a moth drawn to flame. In this moment, I realize we’re alike, clinging to hopeless love….‘

Though her memories were gone, the pain and despair saturating these words made Emma feel it
deeply.
Her heart felt stabbed, spreading waves of continuous pain.
Her nose became sour and swollen, as if tears were about to flow.
She stood frozen, unable to calm down for a long time.
The room remained silent for who knows how long before Zoe finally spoke.
“So… what do you plan to do now? Do you want to continue treatment? My uncle is a renowned
psychiatrist, though he’s overseas right now, if you want to…”
“Let’s forget it. Though I don’t remember, I can feel that when I liked your brother before, I must have been in a lot of pain. Since I’ve forgotten now, maybe it’s a blessing.”
Emma took a deep breath, then lowered her head and deleted all the photos and notes completely.
Watching her, Zoe looked shocked and was about to say something when her phone suddenly rang.
After hanging up, she grabbed her bag and hurriedly left with a few parting words.
“I need to head home for something. Emma, rest well. I’ll come see you again after I’m done.”
BANG! The door closed.
Just as Emma was about to rest, her phone rang.
“Emma, didn’t mom mention before that you were arranged in a childhood engagement? This
marriage has been delayed for several years now. Have you thought about it?”
畿
Emma’s mother had already prepared for her refusal, making this call only as a last attempt.
But after a few seconds of silence, Emma unexpectedly agreed.

“Sure, Mom. Once I’ve wrapped things up here, I’ll come home to fulfill the engagement.”
Emma’s mother was utterly shocked, her voice filled with astonishment.
“What… what did you say? You don’t like your friend’s brother anymore? Before, because of him, you refused to leave Boston for Los Angeles, chasing after him for so many years. How have you suddenly changed your mind?”
Emma didn’t know how to explain her memory loss and didn’t want her family to worry about the
accident.
So after careful consideration, she gave a vague response.
“I don’t like him anymore. And in the future, I also won’t like him again.”
