The sterile calm of the medical mom evaporated the Instant Alpha Mthan Blac
appeared.
His entrance wasn’t loud, but it sent a jolt through the space, a sil
silent announcement of dominance that made my
yakin prickle.
I remained stock–still beneath the thin hospital blanket, feeling pinned by an invisible weight. My fingers clamped down on the
fabric.
Tyler immediately straightened his posture and bowed his head slightly. Alpha,” he said, his voice filled with respect.
Nathan acknowledged him with nothing more than a curt nod, his peerful prosence filling every corner of the room.
Emma stepped lansard, clipboard in hand. Her condition is stable but concerning, Alpha, She’s suffering from malnutrition and exhaustion. With proper care, she should recover within two weeks
1 kept hy eyes down, watching through the curtain as Nathan approached. His movements were fluid and predatory–elegant yet dangerous in a way that didn’t seem entirely human.
When he stopped at my bedside, I caught his scent–crisp and cold like a pine forest after a violent storm.
“Look up,” he commanded.
His voice was deep and resonant, sending involuntary tremors through my body.
When I hesitated, his impatience manifested in a swift movement. Long, elegant fingers gripped my chin, forcing my face upward.
“Look at me,” he ordered again.
I reluctantly raised my eyes to meet his, afraid to disobey a direct command from an Alpha. The moment our gazes connected, I felt as though I’d been struck by lightning,
Nathan looked like royalty–regal and devastatingly handsome in the most dangerous way
His features were si
were sharp and defined, his expression severe as he frowned down at me. Those gray eyes examined me with hawk–like intensity, as if I were prey he was considering devouring.
I trembled uncontrollably
bly in his grip. my breath catching somewhere in my tight throat.
My heart raged against my ribs, a frantic prisoner beating against its cage, so violently I was sure the sound algue gave away the depth of my fear
The barest shift of his body sent a jolt of pure panic through me, 1 inched instinctively, a conditioned response, anticipating the sting of a hand, the familiar prelude to pain.
Instead, something utterly unexpected happened. Nathan’s hand mad with impossible care to brush my tangled hair away from my face.
The sheer gentleness of his touch was a shock, a foreign sensation that left me momentarily stunned and breathless for an entirely
different reason.
His scent enveloped me again, and despite my fear, I found something oddly compelling about it. Those piercing eyes continued their assessment, studying every feature of my face as if memorizing them, evaluating me like a valuable acquisition.

The strangest thing happened as he held my gaze–my terror began to recede, replaced by an inexplicable calm.
I found myself lost in those stel tile depths that reminded me of the lake where my mother Marle and I used to sit. She would sing while I watched the water Change colors with the sky.
A sudden clarity washed over me as I glimpsed my reflection in his helpless girl sold by her father, now property of another Alpha. The reality of my situation crashed down on me anew.
After what felt like an eternity, Nathan seemed satisfied with what he’d been looking for. He released my face and turned to leave.
“Alpha! I called out, surprising myself with my boldness,
Victoria
gasped audibly behind him, and I couly feel everyone’s shocked stares boring into me.
Nathan paused, his back to me.
“Alpha,” I continued, my voice trembling, once I’ve worked enough to repay what you gave my father, would you let me go? I can work as your maid, or whatever position you assign m… I can-”
He turned slowly, one eyebrow raised in what appeared to be genuin puzzlement.
“Maid?” he repeated, his tone neutral
My heart sank as he walked back to my bed and sat beside me. The mattress dipped under his weight, causing me to slide slightly toward him
My pulse quickened and my breathing became shallow as a whirlwind of emotions surged through me–fear, confusion, and something else I couldn’t identify.
“Your father didn’t tell you?” His voice was soft but cold, like velvet over ice.
I swallowed hard. “Tell me what?”
Nathan’s eyes never left mine as he delivered the crushing truth. “Your only job here is to bear a child.”
The world seemed to stop, I couldn’t breathe, couldn’t think, couldn’t move.
His fingers gently brushed my hair back again, the tenderness of the gesture at odds with his brutal words,
“You will be a breeder,” he stated matter–of–factly. “My breeder.”
In that horrifying moment, I understood that his earlier scrutiny hadn’t been driven by desire or interest. He’d been inspecting merchandise–me–checking that his purchase was satisfactory.
“…” My voice failed me my mind unable to process the shock.
I had suspected something terrible when my father sold me, but this? To be used as nothing more than a vessel for producing an
heir?
Nathan stood, seen by unaffected by the bomb hed just dropped on my life. His expression remained impassive as he looked down at me.
“Dr. Carter will ensure you’re healthy enough for the process to begin,” he said, his tone businesslike. “Until then, rest and recover Your strength. You’ll need it.”

Chapter 5
1 caught Victoria and Emma changing concerned glances.
Tyler’s face remained carefully blank, but I thought I detected a flash of something–perhaps pity–in his eyes.
1 sat motionless, feeling as though I’d been plunged into lee water. The realization of my purpose here–of my fate–left me frozen in place, unable to even forms tears,
A breeder. Just a breeder.
Nothing more than a body to carry his child, then to be discarded when my usefulness ended. I heard rumors about breeders, how they mysteriously “disappeared” after fulfilling their purposer
