“No way! My sister is just an ordinary woman. How could she be a soldier?” Tabitha yelled, completely disbelieving that the plain Geneva had become a soldier.
“If this is fake, the court wouldn’t issue this summons,” Emerson said.
When Geneva filed the lawsuit, the court would definitely verify her identity first.
Now that the summons had been issued, it meant that Geneva’s status as a soldier had been confirmed, and her rank wasn’t low.
If this trial actually happened, Stan was definitely going to lose. And he might even end up in jail.
Grim was not enough to describe Emerson’s expression now.
Clearly, Geneva was now taking revenge on Stan, not even sparing Tabitha, either.
He never realized that this daughter–in–law of his was actually so capable.
Emerson paid no more attention to the Motley family and directly called Stan to the study to come up with a plan.
In his opinion, the Motley couple were utterly foolish, so ignorant of their own daughter that they mistook mediocre for a pearl–truly laughable.
But then he thought about it again, coming to the conclusion that his son was equally stupid.
“Go find Geneva immediately, promise to live a peaceful life with her, and get her to drop the lawsuit. If she agrees to drop it, she can still be our daughter–in–law. No one can shake her position.”
Emerson said this quite sincerely because Geneva’s status was different now.
In the past, he turned a blind eye to Stan and Tabitha’s relationship because Tabitha gave them a grandson. Her value naturally surpassed that of Geneva.
Ultimately, what mattered most to the Wheeler family was Barclay, not just Tabitha.
But now, no matter how important the grandson was, it didn’t compare to the future of their family business.
And thinking about Stan giving tickets to Tabitha before, Emerson realized that if Stan could risk everything for her once, he might do so again in the future.
So, having Tabitha around would only make Stan irrational.
Weighing pros and cons, he decided it was better if Geneva stayed as their daughter–in–law.
After all, without any support from her own family, Geneva would focus solely on pleasing both her husband and the Wheeler family. If they treated her well enough, she’d be grateful forever.
But Stan looked incredulous, retorting, “Dad, are you telling me to apologize to Geneva?”
As president of the Wheeler Group himself, there was no way he would ever apologize to that damn woman.
“This isn’t about your pride now! Once this trial starts, you could end up in jail, no matter how powerful our family is in business… I believe there’s still some feeling between you two. If you apologize sincerely, she won’t hold onto this anymore!”
Regardless of whether Stan liked it or not, Emerson ordered him to deal with it immediately.

Unfortunately, despite multiple attempts, Stan was unable to meet Geneva.
In the end, even Emerson and Kyla had to step in, but Geneva turned them away, too.
The Wheeler family finally realized that Geneva’s lawsuit wasn’t just a joke–she was dead serious.
So, they went to Mr. and Mrs. Motley, hoping they could talk some sense into Geneva.
Basically, if Mr. and Mrs. Motley couldn’t handle Geneva, they could forget about the Wheelers ever respecting them in the future.
Geneva did meet with the Motley couple finally, which only reinforced Rocky and Salena’s belief that Geneva was trying to force her way back to the Motley family.
So, when Salena saw Geneva, she immediately snapped, “Geneva, how dare you sue your sister? You’re just jealous of her and can’t stand to see her doing well, right?”
Tabitha, with tears in her eyes, chimed in, “Geneva, why have we come to this? Just drop the lawsuit, and I won’t hold anything against you.”
Even Tabitha’s “genius son” glared at Geneva. “You bad woman!”
Meanwhile, Geneva just stared at them as if they were a bunch of idiots.
‘Did they really think this was something they could just decide?‘ she sneered inwardly.
Seeing Geneva remained unresponsive, Rocky added, “Geneva, you’ve made your point. Drop the lawsuit now and come back home with us. Stop embarrassing yourself.”
Conrad, standing by, smirked upon hearing this, “Guess a second lieutenant rank is considered embarrassing in your book, huh?”
Rocky’s face changed in an instant, and he finally remembered Geneva wasn’t the same anymore.
“Geneva, what’s going on here?” he questioned.
Geneva had always been frail, so Rocky really couldn’t figure out how she ended up in the military and became a second lieutenant so quickly.
As Geneva didn’t answer, Rocky tried again, “Geneva, Dad will take you back. You’ll still be my daughter, my pride.”
But Geneva just smirked, “Did I say I wanted to go back?”
Rocky said lovingly, “Geneva, Dad only has you and your sister, two children. I don’t want to see you fight against each other. Isn’t it good for you to love each other in the future?”
Geneva felt very ironic. When the original host was brutally killed by Tabitha, she didn’t see Rocky show his fatherly love.
When Rocky saw that Geneva was still treating him with that nonchalant attitude, he felt somewhat at a loss.
He looked at Salena, hoping she to say a few soft words.
But Salena couldn’t find the words.
She had never forced herself to be nice to this daughter, always treating Geneva with an air of superiority, as if even glancing at her was a favor.
“If you still consider me your mom, drop the charges right now. Otherwise, I disown you!” Finally, she came up with a threat.

Geneva chuckled, looking at her coldly. “You know why they’re being sued, right? If my account misrepresents Tabitha, feel free to throw evidence at me.”
That was exactly why they came to Geneva–the evidence was ironclad.
Salena snapped, “Do you think that’s what your sister wanted? She’s a victim too! She’s suffered so much! Now that she’s finally seeing some good days, instead of wishing the best for her, you’re backstabbing her!
“Can’t you learn from your sister and be more sensible and kind?”
Geneva wasn’t in the mood to argue. With different values, they couldn’t see eye to eye.
She just gave Tabitha a meaningful look, smirking, “Actually, there’s a way for Tabitha to get out of this.”
“You’re to drop the charges? Salena beamed immediately.
“This case isn’t something I can just drop,” Geneva said. “But since Tabitha is my sister, I don’t want to go too far. Whether she gets out or not depends on her.”
“What do you mean by that?” Rocky asked.
Geneva said, “Simple. Just insist she was forced by Stan, and she’s off the hook.”
Tabitha’s eyes widened as she snapped, “Geneva, how can you be so vicious! Stan and I are truly in love! I would never betray him!”
“This is Geneva’s scheme to tear me and Stan apart–I would never fall for it!‘ she seethed inwardly.
