Chapter 137
Rachel’s POV
1 don’t know how much time had passed. I awakened slowly, feeling restless and uneasy. Scarlet’s soft whispers reached me from somewhere nearby as consciousness gradually returned.
Sunlight streamed through an open window, carrying the faint cent of pine and mountains into the room.
What happened? I struggled to remember the garden, the flowers, the dizziness. My hand instinctively moved to my swollen belly, feeling the strong life force of my Alpha offspring
When I tried to sit up, a wave of dizziness hit me, and I couldn suppress a small groan.
Scarlet was instantly at my bedside, her eyes wide with concern. “No. You must lie down, I’ll get the doctor right away.”
“What happened?” My voice sounded weak, trembling slightly.
“You collapsed in the garden. I’ll be right back. The doctor is waiting in the hallway.”
My first thought was for my baby. Is my baby okay? My heart raced with fear as my hands moved protectively over my bump, trying to confirm through touch that everything was normal.
Selena hurried in, her medical bag emanating the scent of herbs. After examining me thoroughly, she explained that I’d had a severe allergic reaction to pollen from the new flowers.
“Is the baby alright?” I asked fearfully.
“The baby is safe,” she assured me. “Alpha bloodlines are very strong.”
“I don’t understand. I’ve never been allergic to pollen before.”
“In the final stages of pregnancy, your body becomes more sensitive, especially when carrying such a powerful Alpha pup. You seem to have developed an acute allergy to this specific pollen. Given your condition, I recommend you stay away
from these pollen sources.”
This doesn’t make sense. I unconsciously reached for Nathan through our mind link before quickly stopping myself.
I couldn’t stay in Carter’s territory anymore! I would have to move until the baby was born. With so many flowers around and the inevitable risk of being discovered if I continued meeting Nathan, it was only a matter of time before someone
found out.
“So I have to leave here?” I asked, my voice trembling.
“I’m sorry, Rose,” Scarlet said gently. “I know you’ve grown accustomed to life here. It‘ doesn’t seem possible right now, but we’ll talk to Carter about changing locations.”
It’s okay. I’ll figure something out,” I replied, trying to sound calm despite my anxiety.
“Yes, and Mr. Wilson will be here soon. I’ve told him what happened, and he’s on his way,” Scarlet added.
My chest tightened with worry. If I leave here, will Nathan still be able to find me?

Chapter 137
As twilight approached, I spotted a figure at the edge of the forest while Selena and Scarlet quietly discussed transportation arrangements on the other side of the room.
Nathan stood there, his gaze fixed firmly on me…
“Let me in,” his voice came through our mind link. “I need to make sure you’re alright.”
“Why do I feel so tired?” I asked Selena and Scarlet, my eyes drawn to the window.
“It’s a normal reaction, Rachel. The medication I gave you causes drowsiness. Why don’t you rest?” Selena suggested.
“Maybe you’re right. I need to close my eyes. When Carter arrives, could you tell him I’m resting? I don’t want him to
worry.”
“Of course, Rose. Get some sleep. I’ll check on you later,” Scarlet replied.
As soon as they left, I locked the door with trembling fingers. Nathan moved with incredible Alpha speed across the yard, gracefully leaping through the window. The scent of pine and cedar instantly filled the room.
“Rachel…” His voice was deep with concern.
“Are you and the baby alright?” he asked, his eyes scanning my body for any sign of harm.
“Yes, we’re fine. Just an allergic reaction to pollen, and then I fainted,” I said softly, my voice gentler in his presence.
“I know. When I saw you fall…” His jaw clenched. “I nearly lost control and rushed to you. But the guards were already approaching. I’m sorry I couldn’t get to you in time.”
“It’s okay,” I smiled gently. “If you’d come out then, they would have caught you immediately.”
“What are they planning to do now?” he asked, his eyes sharp with Alpha protectiveness.
“They say it’s still uncertain, but I probably won’t be here, I guess. I have to move until the baby is born.”
“Yeah, Rachel. It’s not safe for you here. And now with increased guards…”
“I don’t have a choice. Carter was kind enough to let me stay here.”
“No, you do have a choice,” he said, determination flashing in his eyes.
“What do you
mean?”
“Ironjaw Pack has several hidden safe houses on the island. I’ve arranged for them to be put on the market. Carter will see them, and you can make the suggestion.”
“Would that really work?” Hope sparked in my eyes.
“There are secret tunnels beneath the house. We can meet through them, and the guards will never know. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you get that house–if that’s what you want.”
“Yes, let’s do that,” I agreed, my eyes bright with excitement.

Suddenly, I heard Carter 1 voice and scent in the hallway. “Nathan, you have to leave now!”
“I don’t want to leave you.”
find a way to see me again. I trust you. Now, please… you must go.”
“I will find you, my Luna. No matter where you are, he promised, his eyes intense.
As Nathan leapt out the window and disappeared into the forest shadows, I felt his promise through our mate bond. No matter where 1 go, Nathan will find me.
This belief took root in my heart, giving me courage and hope I never felt before.
My hand caressed my belly, feeling our strong Alpha baby kick in response, as if acknowledging his father’s promise.
