“What?” Stan looked shocked, like he’d just heard the most unbelievable thing.
The secretary replied, “The one providing tech support to rival companies, going against the Wheeler Group, is Geneva, your wife.”
“Geneva? How could it be Geneva?” Stan was more than shocked.
He just couldn’t believe that the woman who always hid at home, silent and invisible, possibly had such skills.
The secretary sent the investigation report to Stan’s email. After reading it, he grew even more stunned.
Tabitha didn’t know what was going on, but hearing Geneva’s name from Stan made her feel uncomfortable.

She couldn’t help recalling how Dr. Bailey treated Geneva. It seemed that this sister of hers, who used to be inferior in every way, was now seemingly slipping out of her control.
Harrison started paying attention to her, and now even Stan was drawn to her.
She clenched her teeth, probing, “Stan, what’s wrong with my sister-”
But Stan didn’t even let her finish before he put on his clothes and left, leaving Tabitha alone in bed, dumbfounded.

The house that the government designated for Geneva was still under renovation, so she was still staying at a hotel.
Right now, Geneva had just returned from the supermarket to the hotel, with her apprentice Conrad bustling around very enthusiastically.
When Stan arrived, he saw Geneva at the hotel entrance.
Seeing how attentive Conrad was to Geneva, Stan felt a sense of betrayal and anger,
No matter the era, men’s bad habits would never change.
They could easily switch lovers without guilt, then stand on the moral high ground, blaming women for not being gentle enough to keep their hearts, and finding the most reasonable excuses for their infidelity.
If a woman fought back, she was unreasonable. But if a woman went to seek happiness elsewhere, that was also not allowed.
In their eyes, even if they’d discarded a woman, she should still gaze at them lovingly, hoping for their return and staying single for life for them.
They looked down on the women, thinking their feelings cheap, yet they enjoyed this vanity.
Stan was clearly one of those men.
In his eyes, ditching Geneva was a no–brainer, but she had no right to move on and hook up with another guy after leaving him.
“Geneva, you’re such a shameless slut! We’re not even divorced yet, and you’re already out there picking up guys? You’re no better than a strand of Tabitha’s hair!” he cursed instantly.
Conrad immediately lost it. “What are you blabbering about? Geneva is my teacher! You have no right to slander her!”
Floyd, waiting at the hotel reception for Geneva, also overheard Stan’s rant. He chimed in, “Mr. Wheeler, it’s only natural for a lady as outstanding as Ms. Motley to have a few suitors.
“You’re messing around with your sister y law, yet you expect Ms. Motley to stay faithful to you? Sounds like you want to be king without the crown, Jud😕” Royd had a sharp tongue and had even flirted with Tabitha before.

Stan always saw him as a clown, someone he could crush along with the Fang family anytime he felt like it.
But times had changed. This clown he once looked down on had now become a force to be reckoned with.
And it was all thanks to Geneva.
“Geneva, it wasn’t you helping the Taylor Group and those companies take on the Wheeler Group, was it?” he questioned.
If it really was Geneva, Stan couldn’t bear the humiliation.
So, he refused to admit how impressive Geneva had become.
But Geneva didn’t even bother responding.
Stan was used to giving people the cold shoulder; never had anyone dared to do the same to him.
Furious, he stepped in front of Geneva. “Geneva, I’m talking to
you. Answer me!”

Geneva’s expression was colder than his. “Who do you think you are to order me around? Get lost!”
“Excuse me? How dare you! Do you know who you’re talking to, Geneva? You can’t afford the consequences of pissing me off!” Stan seethed.
Without further ado, Geneva slapped him across the face. The slap was so hard that it spun Stan around 180 degrees, leaving him dazed as he fell to the ground.
Both Stan and the onlookers were stunned.
When Stan came to his senses, Geneva had already stepped on his chest.
For Stan, being trampled underfoot is simply unbearable humiliation.
At that moment, Geneva crouched down, asking, “Stan Wheeler, do you really think I, the least favored and most invisible scapegoat of the Motley family, got the better end of the deal after marrying you? Do you think t should be madly in love with you, clinging to you like a leech?”
Stan was left dumbfounded, thinking, ‘Isn’t that how it should be?‘
Geneva sneered, “You don’t like me, but guess what? I don’t like you either. I’ve never seen a more disgusting man than you. Stupid is bad enough, but being stupid and unaware of it? It’s nauseating just looking at you./
“You and Tabitha, the scumbag and slut combo, are truly made for each other. I’d love for you two to shack up and stop ruining the innocent.”
“Geneva, how dare you!” Stan tried to resist, but had no clue why Geneva had so much strength that he couldn’t move at all.
He glared at Geneva with a murderous look. “Geneva, you’ll pay for what you’re doing today.”
But Geneva chuckled, unbothered by his threat. “What can you make me pay? Isn’t the Wheeler Group already getting crushed by the top five groups? Not enough being beaten by the Taylor Group? If not, I can make the attacks even fiercer.”
Standing up, she looked down at Stan. “Stan, I’m telling you: without the Motley family, without you and Tabitha, I would only be better. And you? You’re
no match for me.”
Stan had never considered that Geneva could live better without him.
Seeing it now hit him hard. He felt like choosing Tabitha over Geneva was a wrong move.
Shouldn’t Geneva, after being abandoned by me, be hysterical, desperately framing Tabitha to get me back? How could she be so calm?” he wondered.
What he couldn’t figure out was where Geneva got her skills from. Was she really a genius? Cause if she were, he could never let her collaborate with those companies.

Stan got up from the ground, trying to sound sincere. “Geneva, don’t make a scene here. Our issues should be resolved at home. Why create a spectacle for outsiders to laugh at? Come back with me.”
He believed Geneva teaming up with those companies against him was just out of love turned to hate.
His priority now was to coax Geneva back home, cut her off from the outside world, and then persuade her to serve the Wheeler Group.
He was sure that with just a little affection from him, Geneva would be grateful.
For the Wheeler Group, he could endure humiliation and feigned love toward a woman he disliked.
