“I was doing this all for Geneva’s good, so she better not be too ungrateful. Maybe in the future, she will even thank me, Tabitha thought.
But thinking about the man who deeply loved her about to marry her sister, Tabitha felt a bit lost. She recalled the warm memories with Harrison abroad.
“Ugh, why do all these great guys have to be so nice to me? It’s hard to let any of them down, she said inwardly.
She went to Geneva, but was turned away at the door every time.
One day, she met Harrison and said helplessly, “Maybe Geneva is still mad at me, cause she won’t see me.”
She then assured Harrison, “Don’t worry, Harrison. With how great you are, she will definitely agree.”
Then she lowered her head sadly. “Geneva has such a weird temper. I wonder if she’ll get suspicious of us and try to stop us from meeting after you two are together.”
Sitting in his wheelchair, Harrison spoke gently. “Silly girl, all I have in my heart is you. Marrying her is just because she’s your sister. Nothing can change my determination to think of you and be with you.”
As he said this, his eyes were cold. ‘Geneva, the woman who crippled me, I’d treat her well, very well!*
That instant of chilling coldness in Harrison’s eyes even startled Tabitha.
“Does Harrison hate Geneva and want to get revenge on her? No, Harrison wouldn’t do that; he’s such a good guy. Right, it’s best for everyone that Geneva mares him, she thought.
“Harrison, I let you down.” Tabitha felt guilty. “I hope I meet you first if there’s a next life, to make up for your love for me in this life.”
Just as they were getting all lovey–dovey, they suddenly saw a familiar face,
Tabitha widened her eyes–that seemed to be Geneva.
Geneva’s health had improved significantly over the past two years; she was no longer the frail, paper–thin figure she used to be. But after staying up days on end for a drug study and ending up sick in the hospital, she was in low spirits.
Recently, though, she’d bounced back.
Her skin was rosy, eyes bright, teeth white–no trace remained of the previous gloominess.
Seeing such a radiant Geneva, Tabitha but her lip

‘Is her brain full of crap?‘ she cursed inwardly.
“Geneva, I hope you marry Harrison,” Tabitha added.
Before Geneva could respond, Harrison chimed in as if granting a favor, “Geneva, I’ll marry you for Tabitha’s sake and give you the respect a wife deserves, but don’t get any extra ideas.”
Geneva was left speechless, thinking, ‘Did I agree to anything?‘
She didn’t hide her disdain for Harrison, replying, “Harrison, you want to marry me? As a cripple, what makes you think you’re worthy of me?”
Harrison’s expression instantly darkened.
Meanwhile, Tabitha defended Harrison. “Geneva, that’s too much. Don’t forget who made Harrison a cripple!”
“It was me.” Geneva smiled.

“Geneva, since you remember, you should know you owe Harrison. Pay off your debt with the rest of your life. You are to take care of him from now on.” Tabitha didn’t even realize there was anything wrong with her logic.
Geneva gave a sneer. “Why should you arrange my life, Tabitha? Who do you think you are?”
Tabitha felt cornered by Geneva’s words, her eyes turning red. “Geneva, are you still blaming me?”
“I’m not that bored,” Geneva retorted.
“Then does that mean you’ve forgiven me? If so, why won’t you accept my arrangement? It’s the best for you,” Tabitha asked, her face screaming, “I was doing it all for your good, so why weren’t you grateful?”
Geneva felt it was necessary to make Tabitha fully understand herself, so she wouldn’t really believe that the whole world revolved around her. “Tabitha, don’t overestimate yourself. In my heart, you’ve long been nothing.”
But unfortunately, Tabitha’s mind was always a bit messy.
When one talked to her about values and morals, she talked about love.
When one talked to her about responsibility, she still talked about love.
In her mind, everything could be tied back to love.
“Geneva, are you still in love with Stan and just don’t want to divorce him? That’s why you don’t want to marry Harrison?”
Before Geneva could say anything, Tabitha had already switched to sob story mode. “Geneva, I know you hate me, but it’s not all my fault.
“How can you blame everything on me? Stan is cold outside but warm inside, If you cherished him and warmed his heart, he wouldn’t have fallen for me.”
‘So it’s always your fault. What does that have to do with me? Why couldn’t you, as the wife, warm your husband’s heart? Why couldn’t you make your husband fall in love with you?
‘I was forced into being the other woman. Why do have to take all the blame?‘ she retorted inwardly.
She always found the most reasonable excuses for what she did.
Being the other woman was because of true love. Ruining her sister’s marriage was because of true love, too.
No matter how outrageous something was, as long as it was tied to true love, it seemed justified,
Geneva couldn’t help wondering, ‘If Tabitha encountered another true love in the future, would she discard her previous true love?‘

Facing Tabitha’s self–righteous accusations, Geneva remained calm. She chuckled and looked at Tabitha. “Tabitha, although Mr. Fox broke his leg, he’s a young talent.
“He’s not as bad as you think. And he is a gentleman who won’t harass you or blame his broken leg on you. So you don’t need to be in a rush to push him away out of fear that he might bother you.”
Tabitha opened her mouth but hesitated. “Geneva, what are you talking about? That’s not what I meant. I just think you two are suitable for each other.”
Geneva smiled. “I also think that Mr. Fox and you are suitable for each other. He’s single and treats you so well; why don’t you marry him?”
