Long–term malnutrition and torment had turned Emily, who once had a rosy complexion, into a gaunt figure.
Daniel’s mother slapped her once, and Emily fell to the ground.
But Daniel’s mother still felt it wasn’t enough. Thinking of how her son had been reduced to this because of this woman,
Daniel’s mother couldn’t stop herself and rushed up to grab Emily by the collar and slap her a few more times.
If it weren’t for the prison guards rushing in to stop her, Emily might have lost her life there.
Although Daniel’s mother was held back by two prison guards, she continued to curse at Emily.
“Why wasn’t it you who had the car accident?”
“Why wasn’t it you who became a vegetable?”
Listening to Daniel’s mother’s vicious words, Emily only felt a deep sense of irony.
When Daniel had loved her deeply, Daniel’s mother had practically treated her like a daughter, calling her “daughter” every day.
Now that Daniel hated her, Daniel’s mother had completely turned against her.
“Vile woman” had become Emily’s new title.
Finally, when Daniel’s mother grew tired of cursing and began drinking tea, Emily spoke up.
“I’m vile? Isn’t your son vile?”
“He clearly said he liked me, but every time Sarah called him, he would always leave me and go back to Sarah!”
“He entangles himself with Sarah while telling me he loves me. Isn’t that the most vile thing? He always blames women for his problems, isn’t it better if a person like that just dies?”
“Hahahahaha, he deserved that car accident. The best thing is for him to never wake up!”
As she spoke, Emily started laughing maniacally.
But as she laughed, tears began to fall.
She and Daniel had once been so loving.
If it weren’t for Sarah, if it weren’t for him wanting both, how could she have done those things? How could she have ended up
like this?
It was all their fault!

As though she had found a release for her emotions, Emily suddenly turned into a madwoman and began cursing at Daniel’s mother.
At the end of her rant, Emily suddenly sneered.
“I forgot to mention, I’m still married to him. I won’t divorce him. This lifetime, none of you from the Foster family will ever be able to get rid of me!”
“You!”
Daniel’s mother trembled with anger, unable to speak for a long time.
The Foster family’s drama eventually reached Sarah’s ears.
When she heard Daniel’s name again, her eyes flashed with a fleeting moment of confusion.
Since she gave up on liking Daniel and came to the UK, she and Daniel had never had any contact again. She didn’t even know that he had ended up like this.
As for him ending up in a vegetative state, Sarah was extremely calm inside.
After all, they were strangers now, and whatever happened to him was none of her business.
The person next to her, who had brought up this topic, carefully watched Sarah.
Seeing that she didn’t have much of a reaction, the person finally relaxed.
But some others still had doubts. After all, Sarah had been with Daniel for many years.
Did she really have no feelings for him at all?
Sarah shook her head. After everything that had happened, how could she still feel anything?
Besides, she now had someone more important.
In the distance, Edward, holding their daughter, walked toward her, gently taking her hand. “Sarah, our daughter and I are here to take you home.”
Home.
That was the word Sarah loved to hear most now.
She smiled as she looked at the father and daughter and gently took his hand, “Okay, let’s go home.”
