“How crazy ** Medvate mother becomes when she loses her only support.”
Troy raised an eyebrow bow said working
He had no rest in ther’s family matters,
Seving his reaction, Sophia smiled even more brightly,
“Troy, did you know there’s a new barbecue place in the East District?”
Troy was caught off guard by her question. He shook his head in confusion.
Sophia found his expression amusing, and her confidence suddenly grew.
she laughed and pinched his cheek,
“You’re so clueless! I’m saying I want barbecue!”
Sophia went to get ready, leaving Troy alone to process what had just happened.
“Boss, are we still going to pull Ethan Fuller’s oxygen tube?” one of Troy’s men quietly approached.
Troy covered his mouth to hide his smile, not responding
“Boss? Boss?”
Troy glared at him. “Idiot, get out of here!”
Troy turned and followed in the direction Sophia had gone.
That night, Sophia not only enjoyed barbecue but also secretly tasted a man’s first kiss.
Troy held Sophia tightly in his arms, as if wanting to bind her to him.
He continually sought her kisses,
Sophia was both amused and touched by his behavior, willingly playing along.
Troy cradled her head, his eyes slightly moist.

Chapter 22
Sophia couldn’t understand how long he had waited for this day.
Back then. Ethan wasn’t the only one who was bullied and alone.
Troy had also been protected by Sophia.
But she had no eyes for him then, so Troy could only stand silently behind to guard her.
Fortunately, Ethan hadn’t treasured her, and she had given Troy a chance.
Ethan had been in the hospital for over two weeks. Jason repeatedly tried to see Sophia but was blocked by Troy’s men.
Though she remained in the city, without Troy’s permission, no one could reach her.
When Jason saw Ethan’s test results, he couldn’t believe the doctor’s diagnosis.
“Wasn’t it just temporary blindness at first? How could he possibly be permanently blind?”
“Our test results are clear. If you have doubts, you can seek a second opinion at a higher–level hospital.”
Learning he would never see again, Ethan seemed strangely calm.
Upon waking, he was told Veronica had died from her severe injuries.
She had no family, so the doctors had to ask Ethan, who was admitted at the same time.
The Fuller family had completely collapsed under Troy’s systematic attack. The company faced bankruptcy and liquidation,
with massive debts, and Samuel had fled early to avoid creditors.
To pay for his treatment, his mother had sold all her jewelry.
Ethan hadn’t even gone to see Veronica one last time. He struggled to his feet, ignoring his mother’s calls, insisting on leaving the hospital.
He told no one that during his two–week coma, he had experienced a terrifying nightmare.
He dreamed that his original plan had been perfectly executed.
He had faked the plane crash on the agreed day, supposedly dying, but actually running away with Veronica.
They visited many countries and cities, seeing the sights Sophia had always wanted to see, eating the authentic local dishes Sophia had always wanted to try.
In his forties, Veronica suddenly expressed a desire to see the aurora. They traveled hand in hand to Iceland.
He and Veronica had always been adventurous. In their outdoor tent, they became entangled until the tent collapsed.
He never expected to see Sophia in such circumstances.
The forty–something Sophia looked much older than Veronica.
White hair and a wrinkled face contorted with shock at seeing him.

Chapter 22
He couldn’t describe the complex emotions in his heart.
He had actually kept tabs on news from home. He knew Sophia’s life hadn’t been easy–single handedly maintaining the Fuller business, fighting outsiders, Fuller relatives, and especially Samuel Fuller for his sake,
He knew it all but still enjoyed the superiority of having a woman silently sacrifice for him.
Waking from the nightmare, he was terrified, not because of the dream’s realism.
But because of that final look Sophia gave him!
When Ethan staggered to Troy’s doorstep, before he could enter, security informed him the owner had sold the property.
“Where did she go?”
Ethan panicked but received no answers.
On the plane, a brilliant diamond ring sparkled on Sophia’s ring finger.
She rested her head on Troy’s shoulder, listening to his wildly beating heart.
His eyes looked at her with tenderness.
“Sophia, why do you want to see the aurora?”
Sophia gripped his hand tightly, her eyes filled with happy smiles.
“Because I want the entire universe to shimmer for us!”
