Chapter 11
The next morning, Ethan received a call from his assistant.
“Mr. Carter, all information regarding Mrs. Carter’s experiences in Riverside has been compiled in a document and sent to you.”
In his study, Ethan read the document, his handsome face turning cold.
The Carters and Coopers had been enemies for generations.
As a younger generation, he normally stayed out of the elders‘ grudges.
But now that his wife Harper had been hurt, it was a different matter.
“The shipment the Coopers want at the dock–outbid them.”
On the other end, his assistant paused before asking:
“Mr. Carter, are you suggesting we directly confront the Cooper family?”
“Yes.”
Meanwhile, in Riverside.
Serena had been forced to move back to the Smith family home.
She repeatedly messaged Finn, pitifully begging for forgiveness, but Finn never replied.
Desperate, Serena found the bar Finn frequented and threw herself into his arms, dressed provocatively:
“Finn, I’ve missed you.”
Finn looked down, recognizing Serena, and disgustedly pushed her off:
“Get away from me.”
Finn used considerable force, causing Serena to lose balance and fall hard to the ground.
Everyone around was from the same social circle, and some girls she had previously looked down on covered their mouths, secretly laughing.
Serena had never suffered such humiliation. She scrambled to her feet and stomped away, unwilling to admit defeat.
Early the next morning, Finn examined the investigation report his assistant had prepared.
His handsome face darkened with rage, furious to the point of bursting!
Not only was Serena not Phantom, but this woman also had vicious intentions!
After receiving Harper’s bone marrow, instead of showing gratitude, she repeatedly harmed and framed Harper!

Chapter 11
He couldn’t imagine how Harper had endured this period.
If it were him, he’d have gone insane long ago.
Finn’s eyes grew fierce, emanating a dangerously murderous aura.
After a long while, he finally calmed down and slowly picked up his phone.
He opened Serena’s chat and typed coldly:
“I’m at the mansion. Come now.”
Serena replied almost instantly, her tone excited:
“Finn, you’ve forgiven me?”
“I’ll get ready and come right over.”
Finn didn’t look at his phone again. He ordered the staff to fill the pool and add boxes of ice cubes.
Half an hour later, Serena happily entered the mansion.
She had clearly dressed carefully, wearing a pure white dress with innocent yet seductive makeup.
She knew this look was absolutely devastating to Finn.
Just as Serena approached Finn, he twirled his wine glass and slightly raised his chin.
Two bodyguards stepped toward Serena, one on each side, gripping her shoulders:
“Miss Smith, Mr. Cooper wants us to take you to the pool.”
Serena’s shoulders hurt from the pressure. She had never been treated this way by Finn’s staff and angrily rebuked them:
“Let go of me! What are you doing? I’m your future mistress!”
The two bodyguards remained expressionless.
They brought Serena to the poolside and mercilessly pressed her head into the water.
Serena’s carefully applied makeup instantly washed away. The icy pool water rushed into her nose, making her whole body
shiver with cold.
After swallowing three mouthfuls of water, her mind cleared.
Finn was still angry with her.
“Finn, didn’t you call me over because you’d calmed down?”
“I wanted to explain as soon as I returned that I’m not Phantom, but Harper has been bullying me all this time. I was so angry I forgot to tell you…”
“You saw it yourself–I was kidnapped because of Harper. And at the party, my mouth was torn open, oh…”

Chapter 11
Serena’s voice trembled as she cried, seeming utterly wronged.
Finn emotionlessly placed his wine glass on the table and walked over to Serena, slightly raising his hand.
The bodyguards immediately understood and pulled Serena up.
Serena raised her head miserably, just as she hopefully thought Finn had softened, he laughed coldly and planted his foot on her head, forcefully pushing it back into the water.
Suddenly, he said darkly:
“Even now, you’re still trying to frame Harper?”
“Serena Smith, I know everything you’ve done!”
The man’s voice was ice–cold, each word pounding in Harper’s heart.
Harper trembled all over, fear instantly enveloping her entire body, causing her to forget to struggle.
No! Impossible!
How could Finn know what she’d done?
Wait.
Even if he knew, so what? She still carried his child!
Finn would punish her at most, but nothing serious!
With this thought, Serena regained her confidence.
When Finn withdrew his foot, Serena clung to his legs, crying until her whole body shook:
“Finn, this is all because I love you too much.”
“It’s because I love you and want a beautiful future with you that I did those things. I’m not bad by nature, really…”
Finn raised his foot again, using his toe to lift Serena’s chin, his dark eyes filled with disgust:
“Your worst mistake was taunting and hurting Harper after receiving her bone marrow!”
“Serena Smith, you’re rotten to the core. I feel sick just looking at you!”
After a pause, Finn kicked Serena’s face with his shoe tip, his expression completely cold:
“You like making people retrieve things, don’t you? That ring you threw in last time hasn’t been retrieved yet. Go get it now.”
