Chapter 5
Because of their child free lifestyle, Nathan’s mother had never liked Olivia.
She had assumed it was Olivia who insisted on not having children.
But in reality, Olivia adored children and had always wanted to have a child of her own.
She was an orphan with no family in this world. A child would be her only blood relative, the only person who shared her DNA.
How could she not want children?
It was Nathan who had insisted on DINK. Because early in their marriage, they had accidentally watched a documentary about childbirth.
The documentary was very realistic and graphic. Nathan had been deeply affected by it and absolutely refused to let Olivia have children after that.
“Childbirth is too horrible, Olivia. I don’t want you to suffer like that.”
“They say giving birth is like going to hell and back. Just thinking that I might lose you because of it–I can’t bear it!”
“Olivia, I can’t live without
t you. I
Back then, hearing Nathan say th
go insane without you. I don’t want children–I only want you!”
things had moved Olivia deeply.
She believed Nathan must have loved her desperately to care so much about her that he wouldn’t even let her go through childbirth.
Now, looking back, perhaps from that moment on, Nathan had already been planning to remove her uterus.
Maybe that childbirth documentary had been deliberately shown to her as well…
A few days later, both Olivia and Claire were discharged from the hospital.
During those days, Nathan had been busy taking care of Claire. He hadn’t even noticed that Olivia was also hospitalized, and right next door to Claire.
Olivia didn’t bother saying anything. She had already decided not to continue living with Nathan anyway.
Nathan, however, put on a magnanimous act. He found Olivia and said, “Olivia, I forgive you.”
Olivia found it laughable–what right did he have to
such a thing?
“We’re husband and wife. No matter how extreme your actions, I’ll forgive you,” Nathan said. “But I hope there won’t be a next time.”
“As punishment, I’ll sleep in the study for a while. You should take this time to reflect on your behavior.”
After saying this, Nathan gathered his things and moved to the study.
That very night, Olivia received a provocative video from Claire.
In the video, Claire lay disheveled beneath Nathan, moaning breathlessly: “…Ah… Nathan, darling, harder… make me forget the pain, make me forget everything except you… make me think only of you, love only you!”
Hearing Claire’s passionate and explicit declarations, Nathan was visibly aroused, his thrusting movements becoming increasingly intense.
In the heat of passion, he held Claire tightly and cried out, “Claire! I love you!”
“Nathan, what did you say?” Claire’s face lit up with joy. “Say it again! I want to hear it again!”
Nathan’s face darkened immediately. Clearly, that “I love you” had slipped out in the heat of the moment.
Now that his rationality had returned, he didn’t want to be someone who betrayed love, so no matter how much Claire begged, he refused to say it

again.
Seeing this, Claire instantly burst into tears: “Nathan, I’m about to die, and even then you won’t say those three words to me while you’re in your right mind?”
Nathan’s expression turned pained: “Claire, don’t push me,”
“Then I’ll just die now!” Claire opened the window and made as if to jump. “Nobody in this world loves me anyway!”
“Claire, what are you doing? Get down from there!” Nathan panicked.
“No,” Claire bit her lip, tears streaming down her face. “You don’t love me anyway. There’s no point in living anymore.”
As she finished speaking, half her body was already hanging out the window.
Nathan’s heart clenched in fear. He lunged forward and pulled Claire into his arms.
“Who says I don’t love you? I love you so much I’m going crazy!” Nathan burst out in frustration.
“Do you think I’m the kind of scumbag who would betray his marriage and his wife?” His eyes bloodshot, he shouted at Claire in an almost broken voice: “I love Olivia! Betraying her makes me sick to my stomach!”
“But I can’t help it! Your very existence has driven me nearly insane. You’ve made me become someone I don’t even recognize anymore!”
Claire was finally satisfied. She wrapped her arms around Nathan’s neck and asked in a coquettish voice: “Nathan, darling, does this mean I can understand that you love me more than you love Olivia?”
Nathan’s face darkened: “Don’t push your luck.”
The video ended abruptly there. Olivia, who had been crying, suddenly laughed through her tears.
Nathan, so you know you’re disgusting, do you?
You’re the one who betrayed our marriage, you’re the one who betrayed me. What right do you have to act so tormented?
Olivia wiped away her tears, then silently downloaded all the videos Claire had sent her and forwarded them to her lawyer.
“This is evidence of his infidelity,” Olivia said. “And without my consent, he secretly had my uterus removed and transplanted into his mistress.”
“I won’t appear during the divorce proceedings because I never want to see Nathan again. You’ll have to represent me and handle all the procedures.”
“Name your price, but I not only want a divorce–I want you to help me get my uterus back.”
