Alayah’s p.o.v.
She tries to objected but Alpha Gordon isn’t having it and actually follows the three Omegas to the door, closing and locking it behind them. I ask Alpha Gordon if the upgrade this office is public knowledge and he tells me that only his leadership and the security firm knew about the upgrade, “Alpha Gordon, I mean no offence but have you always checked your books as thoroughly as you did this time?” I ask him as I sit down in the chair next to him.
No one says a word as Alpha Gordon looks at me, “Are you telling me that someone tampered with one of the budgets?” He asks and I tell him that two budgets were tampered with, we start eating as I explain to Alpha Gordon what I found in his books. I tell him I took a look at it with Mom, because I needed someone to confirm to me that I was on the right track and to make sure I didn’t overlook anything.
“I tried to find out why someone would do this, but looking at all your budgets I can’t see why anyone would want to steal money from the Pack. Each member in your Pack gets a paycheck and it is a fair paycheck if you ask me, so being underpaid can’t be the reason in my book. I also figured out when it started and the amount of money that was taken, which left the question who did it.” I say before I place another piece of meat on my plate.
By the time dinner is over I have seen anger, confusion and disappointment run across Alpha Gordon’s face and right now Dad and Beta Jacob are trying to calm him down, “I am going to kill her. I am going to kill that fucking bitch.” He repeats over and over again and I can’t blame him, I mean I would probably react the same way. If I was an Alpha and someone I trusted stole from me I would be livid as well, I would want to take
my anger out on them as well.
Topaz has been pacing in the back of my head ever since dinner started, she wants to go home to see the Boys and put them back in their place. She had been quiet all day because she needed to process everything we heard since we got here and I am glad she is my reason to my anger, she is my calm to my rage.
I would probably stay clear of them for the rest of my life if it wasn’t for Topaz, but she also understands that my first priority right now is my job. Not that she is liking it very much, but she knows me and she knows the kind of person I am.
When Alpha Gordon is finally calmed down I tell him she can no longer access the money without him knowing about it, “I will install a program on your laptop that will inform you of every purchase from every budget, it will show you where the purchase took place and for which amount. It will enable you to check your books even quicker until I am able to merge the bookkeeping from both Packs, something I will do when I am back at Crimson Moon Pack.
My office has a great security system and I am the only one that has access to it, not even Marc or Crystal can get into my office. It wasn’t my idea but I am glad that Marc convinced me to install it and with what we know now it is best that no one has access to any of the books.” I tell Alpha Gordon and I know he will be relieved the moment I have taken charge of all the books.
Three Omegas walk into the dining room while Alpha Gordon asks me how Crimson Moon Pack reacted to Marc and Crystal being Mates, “Everyone is really happy for them, most had figured out on their own both Packs would become one and speculations on what they will do with the Pack–house are flying around the territory.” I answer his question and Mom asks me what I mean by that.
“Our Pack–house is different from this one and Nathan has already made it clear he is moving, something to do with never being able to avoid his Brothers at home. At first I thought he was kidding, but after seeing the Gamma floor I know what he means. My room on the Beta floor is twice the size of my room here, I have my desk to study and an armchair with a side table in my room and there is still enough room left for

Mom tells me how things work with the Boys at home and I quickly find out that even though they are siblings they are also very competitive with one and other. Resulting in shouting matches in the living room and Mom quickly learned to stay out of it, someone trying to butt in always made it worse. Topaz is laughing her ass off because she wants nothing more than to add fuel to their arguments, I shake my head at her as she tells me all the ways she will rile them up.
“Stop it, Topaz. You are acting like an annoying little Sister.” I growl at her and the stuns me into silence when she says, “Isn’t that what they think we are.” Oh, Yeah. My Lycan is going to annoy the hell out of them and I can already picture Noah’s face when she pushes them to the limit, which of course sends Topaz to the other end of things as she shows me an image of me bend over Noah’s knees.
By the time we leave the Alpha floor it is close to midnight and I hope no one paid a visit to the Gamma floor to find my laptop, not that they would be successful. I took it with me as I did during lunch, because I needed to show Alpha Gordon what I found and as I had gone through both budgets with him I was able to paint him a clear picture on how she pulled it off.
It took some time to convince him, but in the end he agreed with me that we would allow her to dig an even deeper grave for herself. Everyone doubted she would be that stupid, but then I showed Alpha Gordon a purchase from the day before and he knew she wouldn’t stop on her own. To make it seem as if I found nothing we will talk about this in the morning, we will leave the door to his office ajar as I will tell them I found nothing really disturbing.
We will make her believe I am writing it off as being booked incorrectly and with that I know she will think she is getting away with stealing money from the Pack.
