Chapter 316 Grandma’s Attitude
Alayah’s p.o.v.
Xavier is standing outside the Alpha’s office and when I see the look in his eyes he reminds me of Noah a little, but again I am not intimidated by it. “Alayah, I have everything seeup for you in the Luna office. It is the only office that no one uses and some of our Warriors are waiting for you to tell them where they should place everything.” Alpha Gordon says as he guides me towards the Luna office. I thank him for letting me use the Luna office, but that a table in the kitchen would have sufficed.
Mom and Xavier keep me company as the Warriors place the furniture in my temporary office and I know I am going to get an earful on my outfit from Xavier, he seems to hate it as much as Noah did. “Alayah.” Xavier says the moment the Warriors have left the office. “I know I am not your Father, but I do feel that I have to tell you that this outfit is a bit much.” He says as he looks at me.
I walk past him to open the door and as I walk towards the living room I can feel him and Mom right behind me, “Tell me how my outfit can be a bit much if the majority of the Pack–members here walk around as if we are in a brothel.” I say as I point towards the females that are sitting in the living room and the look in Mom’s eyes tells me she agrees with me. “If I start dressing like that you get to tell me off, Dad.” I say before I walk back to my office.
I know it is the Dad comment that keeps him from responding or from following me and Topaz is laughing her ass off as she recalls the look on his face, but I am not sure which remark made him pull that face. I have barely sat down behind me desk when a soft knock on the door sounds and a moment later an Omega walks in with a latte, “Gamma Mara said you could use this while you work.” She says as she places the mug on my desk.
“You do realize you just made a lot of enemies?” The Omega asks me and I ask her how she figured that, “Four of the females in the living room are the Mates of Gamma Xavier’s Sons and they have already threatened to have you thrown in the dungeons the moment they return home.” The Omega says as she rolls her eyes and we both laugh.
“I am not scared of my Stepbrothers and on top of that I outrank them, Crystal asked me to become her Beta. I am also the Daughter of a Beta, my Uncle is a Beta and so is my Cousin. They can threaten all they want, in the end it will do them no good and I believe you know as well as I do my Stepbrothers want to find a Mate their Lycans agree with.” I say to her as I take a few sips from my coffee.
We talk for a few more minutes and I find out that the four females she mentioned have been sprouting nonsense since Wednesday, I think I need to send Crystal a message so she can warn them. After I am alone in my office I start looking into the books of Autumn Pack and I can tell that the budget for the training grounds, the Warriors, the Pack–house and the territory are all correct. It is the budget for the kitchen and the Alpha family that gives me an uneasy feeling.
Mom comes into my office to get me for lunch and I ask her if I can talk to her in my office after lunch, “Beta Jacob was right, something isn’t adding up and I need an extra pair of eyes to look at something.” I tell Mom as I power down my laptop and place it inside my bag. Mom looks at me strangely as I take my laptop with me, but she doesn’t ask me about it and as we walk to the dining room she asks how Grandma is doing.
“You know Grandma. Always up to no good and I believe this time she is aiming for Noah, Nathan, Nikolay and Nero.” I respond and Mom gives Xavier a horrified look. “What do you mean. Alayah?” He asks and I know he did exactly what Mom was hoping for. “Uhm, I am not sure how much Mom has told you about Grandma.” I say carefully and the worried look on his face has Topaz rolling around in my head.
“When I was about twelve, Mom wasn’t around at the time, Grandma showed me this book on the Mate- bond and she told me about how the connection starts between two Wolves or Lvcans. she wanted me to

Horror is running over every males face at the table, but Mom has trouble hiding her laughter. “What was in the back of that book, Alayah?” Xavier asks me reluctantly. “A picture of a female holding a cock in her hands..” Xavier holds his hand up to stop me from talking, but I just can’t. “Which she had cut off with the message: Don’t ever cross a female.” I say before I burst out in laughter and I think it is safe to say that no male will have much of an appetite.
Mom is hiccupping as an Omega has set down a few plates and Isla is literally rolling on the floor, her Mate looks as pale as Xavier does. I look at Mom as I say, “Or she might show them the book on how to pleasure a female.” I swear, Grandma has that book and she will not hesitate to show it to them if she thinks they are lacking in that department.
I look at Xavier as it sinks in what I just said, “Your Grandmother has what?” Xavier yells and I look him in the eyes when I say, “A book on how to ple…” his hand covering my mouth stops me from finishing my sentence and now even a few males are laughing their asses off. “Don’t you dare finish that sentence, Baby Girl.” Xavier growls and I slowly nod my head.
He slowly removes his hand and all I have to do is look at Mom to send her of the deep end again, talking about Grandma pulling that kind of stunts was the only times I heard my Mom talk. I suspect Grandma pulled some of those stunts on purpose just to get Mom to respond, it at least gave me a few happy memories involving Mom.
