I use the Omega stairwell to go down the stairs, I don’t want to see those fucking Idiots for a while. Have they lost their fucking minds? Accusing me of lying, telling me I wasn’t the gardens when I was there the entire time. As I place my laptop and everything else I need in my laptop bag I link Alpha Randell to tell him where I am going, he sounds a bit surprised and I can case his mind when I tell him I also need their bookkeeping.
Instead of taking my car I decide to go on foot and I send my Mom a message to let her know I am on my way. I get a few strange looks as I walk towards the border but no one says a word. I let my mind wander back to this morning and I know I left he Pack–house through the back door, I went straight into the garden. I remember staring at the rosebush until I heard Noah’s angry voice and yet they accuse me of lying to them.
“Hold it, Girl.” Topaz says. “Do you remember what Grandfather said about your bloodline?” Oh, Holy Fuck. I had forgotten all about that, at first I had been ecstatic after Grandfather told me and I had been wondering which gifts I had been granted. That was until Topaz pointed out that it would put a target on my back for power hungry males and that was when I started to hate my bloodline, I even dreaded my eighteenth birthday.
I never felt any gift emerge and I doubted for a long time I would ever receive one of my gifts, but it seems I might have gotten a gift after all. The gift my Great–Grandfather thought was the best of them, the gift to blend in with my surroundings and I think he called it the gift of camouflage. “Does that mean you can spy on people?” Topaz asks teasingly and I giggle as I think about eavesdropping on my Stepbrothers or Anton.
Fuck, I got mad at them for no reason. They don’t know about my bloodline and the kind of gifts I might possess. Fuck, I used my aura on them for no reason and after having them worry about me all afternoon I just walked out of the Pack–house without letting them know where I am going. “They could have dealt with it a lot better, Anton had no right to accuse you of lying.” Topaz growls in my head and I know that he didn’t have the right to accuse me, “I will send Crystal a message when I get to Autumn Pack.” I tell Topaz.
Both of us fall into a comfortable silence as we keep walking, I take in my surroundings as we go and I point out to Topaz the perfect spot for our new Pack–house. I take a few pictures of the area before I start walking again and when I get close to the border of Autumn Pack a smile forms on my face, “Hello, Princess. Already enough of your Stepbrothers.” Xavier says teasingly and I just shake my head.
“Actually I wanted to talk to you and Mom and I wanted to ask Alpha Gordon if I can have access to the bookkeeping. I have Crimson Moon’s bookkeeping in order and if I can combine both of them I will have an oversight of our finances for the future.” I says as I hand him one of my bags. “Well, your Mother is happy you said you wanted to come for a visit.” He replies as he places an arm around my shoulder.
I can feel Topaz in the back of my mind, but when I ask her what is going on I get no answer and I decide to leave her alone for a while. I tell Xavier about the visits I got yesterday and he is laughing his ass off when I tell him I could tell them apart, “Yeah, they seem to think it is a huge secret on how to tell them apart and they are convinced the only people that can tell them apart are me, their Grandfather and their Mate. I think if we explain it to your Mother she will surprise them too.” He says.
“Oh, Yeah. Let’s tell Mom how to tell them apart, burst their little bubble.” Topaz growls, she still is mad at them for not being able to feel the connection between us and she is out for revenge. “What is going on with Topaz?” Xavier asks and I ask him what he is talking about. “Kiba had a talk with her and for some reason she seems to be pissed off with our Sons.” He answers me and I wonder who the hell Kiba is.

Just as I am about to say something the door to the Pack–house opens and I see a small group walking onto the front porch, “I was already wondering why you had to pick up one of your Pups at the border, but looking at her it makes sense. You must be Alayah, Mara’s Daughter.” One of them says and Xavier tells me that they are my Stepbrothers friends. “Great, more people that seem to think they are the best.” Topaz growls in my head.
“And why wouldn’t Xavier need to pick up one of his boys, I doubt they could find their ass if you asked them.” I growl at the male and I hear my Mother giggle as she walks out the front door, “What did they do to piss you off, Baby Girl.” Mom asks. “Ask me what they didn’t do and the list will be a hell of a lot shorter.” I mumble and I hear Xavier chuckle next to me, while their friends just stare at me.
