Chapter 30 MSB
ELIJAH’S POV
Kylie has always been a lightweight. Even now, I could tell that she was a bit buzzed. I didn’t want to take advantage of her if she was not thinking straight. But she leaned toward me, her warm body pressing against mine, and it was incredibly hard to ignore how she made me feel.
“Fine then.” She whispered, “Take me.”
Then I swore. Damned be my inhibitions. I took her in my arms, pressed my lips to hers, and kissed her as violently as my urgent needs pressed me. She melted against me, meeting my every demand with her own, and when she came up for her, I traced my lips across her skin. Neck, shoulders, bare arms, reaping away the soft t–shirt she wore as I sought for more skin.
“I liked this top.” She giggled breathlessly, but I was too occupied to speak. Too breathless. Surely, the shirt could easily be replaced.
I ran my hand over her skin, and she moaned against every touch, her body giving in, allowing me to claim it as mine.
Desire charged the air, and the both of us submitted to its demands.
“You will be my undoing.” I heard myself say as she tugged my shirt over my head.
“Good. Great.” She said and made a sound as she took in the sight of me. She sounded like a woman ready who just had a taste of chocolate. “Mine.” She said, and before she could act, I lifted her off her feet and found her bed, laid her in it.
I used my tongue and my hands this time, stripping her of her senses, making her squirm and moan under me, until control broke, hers and mine. And then, I took her.
When it was over, I lay limply over her, the room filled with silence but for the sound of our heavy breathing.
“Am I too heavy for you?” I asked and she only made a sound that I suppose was a laugh.
I turned and switched our positions, so she was lying on me instead and she purred like a cat. Or so it sounded to my ears.
“Much better,” I said and felt myself drifting into sleep.
I woke up to a familiar scent, or perhaps it was the scent that awakened me. Whichever way, it was familiar and it was there and it should not have been there.
It was faint, but it was growing. The musky, sharp smell of another werewolf.
The thought of the rogue being so close to Kylie’s apartment triggered my protective instincts. She was still sleeping and I wanted nothing more right than to keep her safe. But I couldn’t stay with her knowing there was a rogue so close. If he got closer it would be dangerous for her. Plus, there was a party going on very close by. If he got close to them, he could hurt somebody.
I reached out to run a finger down her cheek and she sighed. I didn’t want to leave her like this. So soft and sweet, sleeping
right next to me.
But I had to. I thought, as I quietly began to rise from the bed. I simply had to.
But I was angry. And so help that rogue, that I didn’t rip his head off his body for ruining a perfectly good night.
The Rogue’s scent led me to the distant edge of the campus, close to the library. It was there I found her, Lisa. Her limp body lying by the wall.
“No. No. No.” I muttered as I ran toward her. I placed two fingers beneath her nose. She was still breathing, thank God.
But she had a huge bruise on her neck. The damned must have attacked her and just abandoned her here.
“Come on.” I sighed as I carefully picked her up. I couldn’t take her to the infirmary. No. That would raise too many questions.
Instead, I took her to Edward, the school’s psychologist. He would know what to do.
“Elijah,” Edward said when he opened up his door.
“Mr. Edward. We have a situation.” I said and his gaze fell on the girl.
“Bring her in, lay her on the couch.” He said cal
Successfully unlocked!
For a situation like this, he was too calm. But that was because card wat just any psychologist. He was also a werewolf. But this knowledge was only known to me and the school’s headmaster.
“She was attacked by a rogue. The son of a gun was already gone by the time I arrived.”
Edward merely nodded. But I could see from his eyes that he was pondering deeply on the thought.

“There had been some increase in their activities as of late. But it’s definitely getting worse.” Edward said, turning to look at Lisa with some concern.
I had some concerns of my own too. These rogues couldn’t have been acting on their own. I truly believed that, for them to be able to get this close to the school campus, they had to have had some kind of help. And I shared this concern with Edward.
“I don’t think they are acting on their own. I believe someone is helping them. Someone who shouldn’t be helping them” I said and he nodded.
“I think that too. We will deal with all this in the morning. But for now…” he said and trailed off as we watched Lisa stir. She
was waking up.
He found a chair and sat by her until she fully came to, and when she did, she was utterly confused.
“Where am I? What’s going on? And why do I feel like I just got run over by a truck?” She moaned and I felt sorry for her. “Lisa, listen to me,” Edward said and his voice had a calming lilt. Edward was the school’s psychologist for moments like this. I watched as he hypnotized Lisa into forgetting the situation she had with the wolf and made her feel safe. “It was all just the buzz and booze. Too much alcohol, too much partying. Now sleep.” Edward said softly.
“Too much alcohol… too much-” the girl’s voice trailed off as she fell into slumber.
“You can take her to her dorm. When she wakes up she won’t remember a thing.” Edward said and I nodded.
“Thank you.” I gently lifted Lisa and took her. When she was safely back in her dorm, I got out in desperate need of fresh air.
I needed to think. None of this was a coincidence when I did too much thinking. There was no possible way that those rogues were suddenly appearing for no reason. It had something to do with Kylie. I just knew it did.
Something else that gnawed at me was the new information I discovered about Kylie. It was the fact that at the age of two, she was adopted. When all of these things added up, I just had to believe they were looking for my Kylie.
My Jaw tightened in anger and frustration. I needed to get more information before things got worse.
But first things first, I needed to talk to Kylie. I needed her to finally know the truth. But God knew I wanted nothing more than to protect her from it. To protect from all of this.
