Chapter 4
Lynne Frank got out first.
He grabbed Tina Susan’s high heels, went to the driver’s side, and placed the shoes on the ground.
Tina Susan supported his arm as she got out of the car, slipping on her heels.
Just as she straightened up, two loud “bangs!” echoed in the air.
Tina Susan jumped in surprise.
Red rose petals fell from the sky like a dream, creating a fantastical scene.
Lynne Frank pulled her into his arms, shielding her.
The stunning couple stood together, bathed in the rain of rose petals.
“Oh! Hahaha…”
A group of people suddenly rushed out from all directions, laughing and celebrating.
“Happy birthday, sis–in–law!”
“Happy birthday!”
“Wow, sis–in–law, you’re so beautiful! No wonder Mr. Frank has kept you hidden so well!”
“Such a perfect match!”
Tina Susan was a little dazed.
It had been three years, and Lynne Frank had never introduced her to his family, relatives, or friends.
He had said he was involved with celebrities, that he was part of the entertainment industry, and that they couldn’t
make their relationship public.
She had wanted to introduce him to her family, but he said the time wasn’t right.
What was going on now? Was the time finally right?
Tina Susan was confused as Lynne Frank held her and led her into the banquet hall.
The music began, the lights twinkled, and rose petals continued to fall from the ceiling. A serve and bow tie, rolled out a birthday cake that was taller than a person.

Lynne Frank wrapped his arm around her waist, guiding her hand as he whispered in her ear, “Let’s cut it together.”
They found a spot, and the cake knife descended…
“Am I late?” A tall figure appeared at the door.
Lynne Frank’s hand froze, and his gaze darkened.
Tina Susan looked up and saw Chilly Brown entering against the light, radiating beauty and charm.
Many people’s smiles froze those who were in the know.
Others, who were clueless, paused for a moment before excitement bubbled up again.
“Chilly Brown!”
“Chilly Brown! The international film star!”
People crowded around her, asking for photos, autographs, and selfies.
Journalists and media professionals immediately took out their equipment to interview her.
Chilly Brown quickly became the center of attention.
A reporter asked, “Chilly Brown, what brings you here? Do you know Mr. Frank?”
Chilly Brown smiled gracefully. “Mr. Frank and I are old friends. I heard he was celebrating his girlfriend’s birthday, so I came to offer my congratulations.”
Another reporter asked, “I saw on your social media that after you returned to the country, it seems you’ve been with a mysterious man. Are you in a relationship?”
Chilly Brown glanced at Lynne Frank and said, “No, he’s just a very good, old friend.”
A reporter teasingly asked, “Old friends can also fall in love and marry, right? Would you choose that mysterious
man?”
Chilly Brown looked at Lynne Frank and said, slowly and deliberately, “No, I wouldn’t.”
Lynne Frank tightened his arm around Tina Susan, his gaze turning icy, his expression dark.
The cold air from him caused the smiles around to falter, and the once lively atmosphere quickly cooled down.
Lynne Frank coldly said, “Today is my girlfriend’s birthday party, not Chilly Brown’s press conference.”
The event organizer quickly intervened, laughing nervously. “Yes, yes, cut the cake! Music!”
As the people in the entertainment industry quickly recovered, the atmosphere picked up again.
Tina Susan took the first slice of cake and handed it to Chilly Brown with a smile. “Welcome, Ms. Brown. Enjoy the cake.”
