Our living room, kitchen, hallway and front porch are filled with pallets and I am not sure if I should laugh
or cry.
Kay pointed out another slight mistake that Mack and Levi made and we both agreed to keep it a secret for now. We both want to see how they will react, when they realize their not so tiny mistake and I let Kay in on my plan to get even with Mack and Levi for not including us while ordering the stuff for our Pups.
Mack and Levi are unpacking the boxes in the hallway and I have locked myself in my office. Kay fled to the Pack–house and even our parents have all escaped. Mack and Levi are on their own, they can figure out where to store everything.
The more I think about the amount they ordered the funnier it becomes, I know both of them meant well and I love them for the effort but damn this is too much.
I can understand that as a first time parent you can go overboard, but I doubt anyone has ever gone this far overboard. I know the amount of diapers was a mistake, but we will probably use most of them. But what are we supposed to do with four car seats, we will probably only use one or two of our vehicles in the future.
Mack and Levi keep walking up and down the stairs, I doubt they will be done any time soon and that gives me the time to prepare my little plan.
It takes them almost two days to unpack all the boxes and get everything stored upstairs in one of the guest rooms. It has given me the chance to make drawings for the nursery and I have had a lot of fun with picking the colors I want to use.
I made two sets of drawings, one set I actually want to use for the nursery and one set to tease Mack and Levi with. Delaney and Kay are the only ones that know about my little plan and tonight we will set it in motion, let’s see how they will react.
Kay invited Delaney and our Alphas to dinner and Mack decided to make an all–time favorite dinner, a dinner my Mates and our Alphas really enjoy eating.
I was a little surprised when Mack told me what he was going to make, but if it is something they enjoy eating I won’t stop him. Don’t get me wrong, I like all the dishes he mentioned, but it might be a bit much.
Parmesan pork tenderloin, cheddar potato patties, French roasted potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, crispy buttermilk onion rings, cauliflower au gratin and for dessert chocolate peanut butter twists. That will be our dinner tonight and I can’t wait to taste every dish.
I still thank the Goddess every day for giving me at least one Mate that can cook and I love watching him move around the kitchen, no one would believe he is an Assassin in those moments.
Mack is still busy in the kitchen when our guests arrive and all four of them are sniffing the air. Yep, it smells delicious in here and my mouth is already watering.
“How is Lola doing?” I ask, I really want to know how her Pup is doing and if she has tried in anyway to harm herself or her Pup.
“She is a handful.” Delaney answers, while her Mates softly growl. “Doc had to resort to sedating her with a tranquilizer dart, she goes berserk every time someone tries to get into her cell. He found a harmless way to

After that we talk about the future, about both my careers and making them work in combination with having three Pups.
We move to the dining room, when Mack has finished all the dishes and for a little while we just sit there in silence. Each dish I try is a little taste of heaven for me and Fortune already knows what she wants Mack to make next time he prepares dinner.
Delaney and I eat at a steady pace, but our Mates are eating like pigs. We haven’t tasted everything yet and when Levi reaches out his hand to grab the last cheddar potato patties, Fortune growls at him.
“You better keep in mind that Delaney and I also want to have some of each dish. I know it all tastes good, but you already had a serving.” I say gently, I couldn’t stop Fortune from reacting and Levi needs to know why she growled.
None of our Mates reach for a dish without asking if we want some and by the time we are all finished, I have tasted every dish. The only plate that isn’t empty, is the stuffed mushrooms and I love the fact that Mack used fresh mushrooms to fill them with, instead of cheese.
I look around the table to see if anyone has an interest for the last one and without hesitation Dominic places it on my plate.
Delaney and I bring the dishes to the kitchen, while Kay and Levi rinse everything off and put it in the dishwasher. Mack is preparing coffee for all of us in the meantime and soon we are all in the living room, enjoying coffee and dessert.
“Have you thought about the nursery, Maleah?” Delaney asks and that is my cue to get this plan into motion.
I get a map from my office that holds the drawings I made for the nursery and I gesture Delaney to sit next to me on the two–sitter. I open the map and I feel her squeezing my hand the moment she sees the first drawing.
“This is very outspoken, Maleah. I like the colors you have used, they look great together.” Delaney says and in my head I hear her ask, “Do you plan on giving them a heart attack?”
