Mira’s POV
Two years later
The sunlight streaming through the windows of the doctor’s office made the sterile room feel warmer than it should. My fingers were intertwined with Killian’s as we sat side by side, waiting for the results. My heart was racing, and I couldn’t sit still. I glanced at him, trying to gauge his emotions, but his calm demeanor only
made my nerves worse.
“You’re too quiet,” I said, breaking the silence. My voice was shaky. “Say something, anything, I feel like I am going to explode.”
Killian turned to me, a small smile tugging at his lips. His dark eyes softened as they met mine. “What do you want me to say, love?” he asked, his voice as steady as ever. “That I’m nervous too? Because I am.”
I blinked at him, surprised. Killian was never nervous. “You don’t look nervous,” I said.
He chuckled softly, brushing his thumb over my knuckles. “I’ve fought battles, Mira. I’ve faced enemies that could tear me apart. But this–this is different. This is bigger than all of that.”
I swallowed hard, my heart swelling with love for him. His words eased some of my tension, but the anticipation still buzzed under my skin. “What if we’re not ready?” I whispered, voicing the fear that had been gnawing at me.
Killian’s grip on my hand tightened. “We are ready,” he said firmly. “We’ve been through so much together. We’ve faced curses, enemies, and loss. If we can survive all of that, we can handle anything.”
Before I could respond, the door opened, and the doctor walked in. She was a middle–aged woman with kind eyes and a warm smile. She carried a clipboard in one hand and greeted us with a nod.
“Good morning, Alpha Killian, Luna Mira,” she said, her tone professional yet friendly. “Thank you for waiting.” My stomach flipped, and I squeezed Killian’s hand tighter. “Did you get the results?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
The doctor smiled reassuringly. “Yes, we did,” she said, glancing at her clipboard. “And I’m happy to confirm that you’re pregnant, Luna Mira. Congratulations.”
The words hit me like a tidal wave. I stared at her, my mind struggling to process what she had just said. Pregnant. I was pregnant.

Killian let out a breath I hadn’t realized he was holding. His hand left mine, and before I knew I cupping my face, his eyes shining with joy. “Did you hear that, Mira?” he said, his voice thick with emotion.” We’re going to have a baby.”
Tears blurred my vision as I nodded, a laugh escaping my lips. “I heard,” I said, my voice trembling. “We’re going to be parents.”
The doctor gave us a moment before continuing. “Everything looks good so far,” she said. “You’re about six weeks along. I’ll schedule your next appointment, but in the meantime, make sure to rest and take care of yourself, Luna.”

I nodded, barely able to focus on her words. My mind was a whirlwind of emotions–joy, disbelief, and a touch
of fear. Killian thanked the doctor as she handed us some pamphlets and left the room.
The moment the door closed, Killian pulled me into his arms, holding me tightly. I buried my face in his chest, inhaling his familiar scent. His heartbeat was strong and steady, grounding me.
“I can’t believe it,” I murmured against his shirt.
He leaned back slightly, tilting my chin up to meet his gaze. “Believe it,” he said softly. “This is real, Mira. We’re going to have a family.”
I smiled, my tears spilling over. “You’re going to be an amazing father,” I said. “You know that, right?”
He chuckled, brushing a tear from my cheek. “And you’re going to be an incredible mother,” he said. “Our pup is going to be so loved.”
I laughed through my tears, my heart feeling like it might burst. “Our pup,” I repeated. The words felt surreal
and wonderful.
Killian kissed me then, slow and sweet, as if trying to pour all his love into that one moment. When he pulled away, he rested his forehead against mine.
“I have dreamed of this,” he admitted, his voice low. “A life with you, a family. I didn’t think it was possible after everything we went through. But now…” He trailed off, his eyes shining. “You have made me the happiest man alive, Mira.”
I cupped his face, my fingers tracing the strong lines of his jaw. “You’ve given me so much, Killian,” I said. “A home, love, a future. I didn’t think I’d ever find peace after what Aaron did. But you saved me. You gave me hope again.”
He shook his head, his expression turning serious. “You saved yourself, Mira,” he said. “You’re the strongest person I know. And now, we’re going to face this new chapter together. As equals. As partners.”
I nodded, a soft smile playing on my lips. “Together,” I agreed.
We left the doctor’s office hand in hand, the world outside feeling brighter than ever. The air was crisp, and the scent of pine filled my senses. Everything felt more vivid, more alive.
As we walked to the car, Killian suddenly stopped and turned to me. “Mira,” he said, his tone teasing. “Do you think our pup will inherit your stubbornness or mine?”
I laughed, swatting his arm playfully. “Oh, definitely yours,” I said. “I’m not stubborn at all.”
He raised an eyebrow, his lips quirking into a smirk. “Not stubborn, huh? Should I remind you of the time you refused to let me carry you after you sprained your ankle?”
I rolled my eyes, but my smile didn’t fade. “Fine,” I admitted. “Maybe a little stubborn. But you lo

“Always,” he said, his voice softening. “And I’ll love our pup just as much.”
e anyway.
As we drove home, I found myself daydreaming about the future–about the little life growing inside me and the family Killian and I would build together. My heart was full, and for the first time in years, I felt like everything was exactly as it should be.
When we arrived at the packhouse, Killian pulled me into his arms again, spinning me around as #laughed. ”

We’re going to tell everyone,” he declared, his excitement contagious. The whole pack needs to know that their Luna is carrying the future.”
I grinned, my cheeks hurting from smiling so much. “Let’s wait a little longer,” I said “Just un everything is fine.”
He nodded, his expression softening. “Whatever you want, love,” he said. This is your moment, foot
That night, as we lay in bed, Killian’s hand rested on my stomach, a protective gesture that made my ha melt. He leaned down, pressing a kiss to my forehead.
“Thank you, Mira,” he said softly. “For everything. For loving me, for choosing me, for giving me this gife
Tears pricked my eyes again, but they were happy tears. “I should be thanking you,” I whispered “For being my rock, my partner, my everything.”
We fell asleep like that, tangled together, with hope and love filling the space between us.
Our journey had been long and painful, but in the end, we found our way to each other. And now, with a new life on the way, our story was just beginning.
