Alpha Damon
Chapter 45
I scoffed, leaning back in my chair. “She chose to stay, not me. I brought her here because we needed to talk, but her staying was her choice.”
“Then tell her to leave before this turns into something you don’t want to deal with,” he said, his voice laced with irritation.
“I already told her to leave. She is the one who is locking herself in her room, refusing to leave. He can deal with his own daughter. I believe that this is something that can be done as family members. I muttered, tapping my desk twice.
“Then prepare yourself for whatever Giovanni throws at you, because he isn’t coming for a casual conversation, Damon. He’s coming with a warning, and if you aren’t careful, it’ll turn into something worse.” He said, giving me his warning, letting me know that this was not something that he liked.
I clenched my jaw, but nodded. I wasn’t afraid of Giovanni Lockhart, but I wasn’t an idiot either. The man wasn’t someone to be taken lightly. He was ruthless, calculated, and the fact that he had even allowed Lysandra to remain here as long as she had was a miracle in itself.
But now, he was coming.
And I had a feeling things were about to get messy.
The sound of tires crunching against the gravel outside the packhouse pulled me from my thoughts. I stood at the entrance, watching as the sleek black car rolled to a slow stop before the doors opened.
Giovanni stepped out, his towering frame and presence demanding attention even without a single word. His dark suit was pressed to perfection, his every movement controlled, deliberate.
He didn’t rush. He never did.
His eyes landed on me as he adjusted the cuffs of his suit, and I didn’t move as he approached.
When he finally stopped in front of me, he didn’t waste time.
“Stay the fuck away from my daughter,” he said, his voice low, controlled, but laced with quiet fury. “If you have any value for your life, Damon, you will not drag her into whatever mess you have created.”
I tilted my head, my lips curling into a smirk. “You think I forced her to stay? She is the one refusing to leave, and trust me, I did
tell her that she can.”
His jaw ticked. “I think you made her believe she needs to. And I’m telling you now, if you keep her tangled in this, you won’t like what happens next.”
My wolf bristled at the challenge, but I didn’t react. I was not going to allow myself to react to something like this because I knew for a fact that if I did, it was going to go dirtier than I wanted it to be.
Instead, I met his glare head–on.
I have no intention of playing games with Lysandra,” I said smoothly. “If she stays, it’s her choice. I’m not forcing her to trust me when I say I told her to leave and she said that she wanted to. It is her who keeps changing her mind. You can speak to her if you
want.”
Giovanni’s expression darkened, his fists clenching. “Then let me make this simple. I don’t give a fuck what choice she makes. If you

drag my daughter any further into this, if she suffers because of you will make you regret it.”
The air between us crackled with tension, but I didn’t flinch.
I simply smirked.
“Noted.”
Giovanni’s dark eyes burned into mine, his patience wearing thin.
“You’ve been warned, Damon,” he said, his voice sharper now. “I don’t give second chances.”
With that, he turned, his movements as precise as ever as he walked back to his car.
I stood there, watching as the vehicle disappeared down the road, my smirk fading.
This wasn’t over.
Not by a long shot.
