Chapter 83
Mira’s POV
That evening, I sat by the window in my room, waiting for Kitties to resurs. The moonlight seamed through the curtains, casting a soft glow across the room. My thoughts were at or the place, mostly censered on him. I had spent so long resenting Killian for rejecting me, for the pain he caused te kere was dating for him all over agaifi.
When the door opened, my heart skipped a beat Killian stayed wade Hs kar was disheveled and he looked tired. His presence filled the room, and for a moment, I felt a strange sense of cam
“You’re back,” I said softly, standing to face him.
He nodded, a small smile tugging at his lips as he walked toward me. 1 am I missed you, he said, his voice
warm and low
I felt a blush creep up my neck, but I pushed past the fluttering in my chest. “How did the meeting go? What did the Alphas decide?”
Killian sighed, his broad shoulders dropping slightly as he pulled me into his arms. it went as expected thy dad informed the other Alphas about Aaron and how dangerous he has become. He made sure they
understand Aaron isn’t just our problem anymore–he is a threat to every pack in the region. They have
agreed to take precautions”
I rested my head against his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart. “And the rogues?” I asked, my
voice barely above a whisper.
“They are planning to increase patrols and eliminate any rogues found in the region. No chances will be taken,” he said, his tone firm.
I nodded, but a heavy weight still settled in my chest. “Killian,” I said hesitantly, pulling back to look up at him. “Aaron won’t stop. I know him. He’ll come back, and he won’t be satisfied until he gets to me
His hands moved to cup my face, his thumb brushing my cheek gently. “Mira, listen to me,” he said, his voice steady. “You’re safe here. We have increased security, and I will do everything in my power to protect you.
Aaron won’t lay a finger on you”
The conviction in his voice made my heart ache. I wanted to believe him, but the shadow of doubt lingered.” You can’t promise that, Killian. Aaron is powerful, and I am the only one who can end his curse. He won’t give
up.”
Killian’s gaze hardened, a flicker of determination lighting in his eyes. “Neither will I. I will protect you, Mira. You’re mine to keep safe, and I won’t let anyone take you from me.”
A small smile tugged at my lips despite the fear gnawing at me. I wanted to lighten the mood, to push away the heavy emotions. “You’re awfully confident,” I teased.
He smirked, his hands sliding down to rest on my waist. “I have to be, especially when I’m trying to win back
someone as amazing–and stubborn–as you.”
I raised an eyebrow, my lips twitching into a smile. “Stubborn? Me? You’re the one who refused to see what was right in front of you all this time.”

Chapter 83
Killian winced slightly, a look of guilt flashing across his face. “You’re right,” he admitted quietly. “Rejecting you was the biggest mistake of my life. I was a fool, Mira, and I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to
you.”
The sincerity in his voice made my throat tighten. “You really hurt me, Killian,” I said softly. “I thought I wasn’t good enough, that something was wrong with me.”
He pulled me closer, his forehead resting against mine. “You’re perfect, Mira. I was scared, selfish, and blind. But I see everything clearly now, and I’ll never make that mistake again.”
I closed my eyes, letting his words sink in. “You have a lot to prove,” I said, my voice barely audible.
“And I will,” he promised. “For as long as it takes.”
We stood there in silence for a moment before he spoke again. “There’s something else,” he said, his tone
hesitant.
I opened my eyes to look at him, my chest tightening. “What is it?”
“I told my dad about us,” he said, his gaze steady.
My heart skipped a beat. “You did?”
Killian nodded, his hands tightening slightly on my waist. “He doesn’t have a problem with it. But… he thinks I need to talk to your dad. He said your dad might not approve because of how I treated you in the past.”
The mention of my dad made my chest ache. My father had always been protective of me, and I knew he wouldn’t forgive Killian easily. “Killian, my dad loves me. But he also knows how much you hurt me. It’s not
going to be easy.”
Killian’s face softened, his voice low. “Do you think he’ll give us his blessing?”
I hesitated for a moment, then nodded. “I’ll talk to him. I’ll make him understand. Don’t worry–I’ll convince
him to accept us.”
Killian’s lips curled into a smile, and he leaned down to kiss my cheek. “Thank you, Mira. You don’t know how
much that means to me.”
I smiled back, a warmth spreading through me. “You’re lucky I’m giving you another chance.”
“I am,” he said with a grin. “And I’m not wasting it. Speaking of chances… how about we go on a date
tomorrow? Just you and me. No packs, no rogues, no curses. Just us.”
The idea made my heart flutter. “A date?” I asked, a small smile playing on my lips. “Where would we even go?
Killian smirked, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “That’s a surprise. But I promise it’ll be worth it.”
I raised an eyebrow, pretending to be skeptical. “You’re not going to tell me anything?”
“Nope,” he said, leaning closer. “But trust me, you’ll love it.”
I laughed softly, shaking my head. “You’re impossible.”
“And yet, you love me,” he teased, his tone playful.
I smiled, feeling a warmth spread through me. “I do,” I admitted softly.
Killian pulled me into his arms, holding me tightly. “We will go at noon. Be ready.”
