Chapter 138 Getting Ready

Introduction Ceremony

The day has finally arrived, today is the Introduction Ceremony and every Pack has sent the invited guests to the Palace.

Each Pack is represented by the Alpha family, the Beta family, and the Gamma family; each Pack also picked two Warriors and three Omegas to attend the party. Not every Alpha had been pleased with the unmated Pack–members they had to bring along, but it had been made mandatory.

None of the Lunas wanted to get embarrassed by their Omegas wearing their own clothes, so each girl had gotten a dress from their Luna and they had happily accepted the gift.

King Damon is waiting for the guests in the ballroom with Yara by his side, once all the guests have arrived, he will introduce her as his Mate and their Queen. He is glad that he doesn’t have to jump through that hoop again, he hated his Introduction Ceremony.

One of the guards links King Damon to inform him that one Pack hasn’t brought along the required unmated Pack–members and it doesn’t surprise him that Alpha Gustav ignored that part of the invitation.

“Alpha Gustav, I assume you know how to read?” King Damon asks when the Alpha steps out of his vehicle and everyone at the front of the Palace turns their attention to King Damon and Alpha Gustav.

“If it is stated in an invitation to bring five unmated Pack–members, then it means that you have no choice but to bring five unmated Pack–members with you. Where are they?” King Damon asks and Alpha Gustav growls softly, while avoiding eye contact.

“A Full Moon party at the Palace should be for High–ranking Wolves and Lycans only.” Alpha Gustav replies, his head and eyes lowered to avoid angering the King. Too bad he doesn’t realize that he already angered the King, but he would soon figure that out.

“Have them here within the hour or I will place your Pack under my supervision for as long as I see fit.” King

Damon states.

Alpha Gustav wants to object, but thankfully his Beta has a brain and steps in front of his Alpha to prevent his Alpha from reacting.

Royal Gamma Keiran is watching Alpha Gustav, who gets guided away from the King by his Beta. Both of them softly discussed the King’s demand. Neither one of them wants to disobey the King, but they are also reluctant to allow Low–ranking Pack–members to attend a party at the Palace.

While Keiran keeps an eye on Alpha Gustav, King Damon’s attention gets drawn to the next Pack that arrives. Four vehicles pull up to the front of the Palace, one vehicle for each High–ranking family and one for the unmated Pack–members.

King Damon greets three other Packs after that, each of them has followed the guidelines from the invitation and for once he believes that this will be an easy evening.

It only takes seconds for King Damon’s mood to do a one eighty, because someone has decided to throw all caution to the wind. Anyone can see that King Damon isn’t the only one that is displaeased with the attire of the female that gets out of the first vehicle, Alpha Dan has a disgusted look on his face as he looks at her.

The female is wearing a lace dress that stops about an inch below her ass, the bodice has a halter neckline,

“Your Majesty, it is an honor to be here. I apologize for my Son’s Mate, we did tell her the dress code and the stipulations that came with it. Unfortunatly she chose to ignore it.” Alpha Dan says as he bows his head to the King.

I can already hear you think, then why bring the girl anyway? Let’s just say that Alpha Dan has a little mean streak and knows that her behavior will have consequences.

“Alpha Dan, you can understand that this will not be tolerated. You have a choice to make; either you all head home and I mean all your Pack–members or she can wait in the dungeons for you to head home after the party.” King Damon replies.

Alpha Dan has known King Damon long enough to understand that there would be a punishment for those that chose to ignore the guidelines, he knows that the Law is on the King’s side. Whoever made the invitation thought about the punishment and made sure that the Alpha would get punish his Pack–member without actually doing it.

“I am the future Luna and I can dress how I want. No one can tell me what to wear, I am above the rules.” Lily mumbles, but she is too stupid to realize that everyone could hear her.

“I don’t the rest of my Pack–members to miss the opportunity to find their fated Mate, Your Majesty. Lily can wait for us in the dungeons, we have traveled too far to turn back now.” Alpha Dan says and two Warriors step forward to escort Lily to her accommodation for the evening.

Lily objects to Alpha Dan’s answer, but her Mate is quick to shut her up, “You were warned, now deal with the consequences.” He growls next to her ear.

He apologizes to King Damon for his Mate’s behavior, while the Warriors drag Lily towards the dungeons with a little force.

Every other Pack that arrives after that has followed the rules and greeting the guests goes smoothly, but something is bothering King Damon.

There are at least a handful of Packs that, he assumed, would cause trouble, but they are behaving themselves and are even refraining themselves from snide comments to those they consider below them.

“Keep an eye on this Pack, I don’t trust them. Their behavior is very unusual for them, something is up.” King Damon says through the mind–link every time he encounters one of those Packs.

King Damon walks up to the stage when all the guests have arrived and in seconds the room is quiet.

“Thank you all for coming to our Full Moon party. I know that you are all curious, so I will get right to it. This is Yara and she is my second chance Mate, your Queen.” He allows the crowd their moment to celebrate, even though not everyone is too pleased with the announcement.
