Chapter 6
After this video ended, someone was sobbing. “Is this how the Caldwells treated Aurora?”
“So the police report went nowhere because they blackmailed her with those videos!”
“And what about that so–called DC golden boy? He’s just as trash as the rest of them–he never even cared if she lived or died!”
Comments flooded in: “Call the police NOW! We need to find Aurora, dead or alive!”
Klain’s hand froze above the screen. He smiled bitterly, then shook his head. “I will find her. But not yet.”
He swiped to the sixth video.
Lilith stared in disbelief. “Klain, that’s enough! Can’t you see what my sister’s trying to do? She just wants to ruin our wedding!”
“Enough?” Klain cut her off, his voice terrifyingly cold. “Miss Caldwell, you should be more worried about your own family right now.”
From my floating state, I shook my head violently. “What? Klain?”
I couldn’t understand his meaning–he was the one who hadn’t believed me.
Before I could process it, the video started playing.
On screen, I was back on Lolita Island, sent there again by my parents.
But this time, I wasn’t fighting anymore.
I looked directly at the camera and spoke calmly: “Nobody loves me anymore. I don’t have the courage to keep
living.”
“Whatever. Think I’m a coward if you want.”
“But don’t worry, I’ll record everything. Even in death, I won’t let them off the hook.”
The video showed me crouching at the island’s shore, repeatedly smashing a sharpened bamboo stick against a rock.
My hands were covered in blood, but I showed no sign of pain.
I was completely numb.
Someone in the crowd cried out, “What is Aurora doing with that bamboo? She’s not thinking of-”
“Can you blame her? After everything she’s been through!”
“Aurora! Stay alive! You have to stay alive!”

Chapter 6
But I wanted to ask them–if they had suffered what I had, would they have the courage to keep living?
Klain’s face turned ghostly white, his fingers unconsciously curling, nearly crushing the phone.
The video continued.
Days later, barely recognizable after more torture, I somehow managed to smile at the camera. Today, I buried eighteen sets of human bones.”
“Lolita Island was never a place of romance. It’s a graveyard for young women.”
The scene shifted to me sitting beside rows of bleached bones.
Many girls had been sent here besides me. So many.
I paused, then waved at the camera. “Hey, Klain. Long time no see.”
“I don’t know if I’ll be dead by the time you watch this.”
“But even if I am, my body will remain here forever, just like these bones.”
“So, Klain, remember to come collect my remains.”
The room fell silent, even breathing became hushed.
The crying in the crowd grew louder: “Aurora! Don’t do this! We’ll send people to find you right now!”
The video continued. I looked directly into the camera, enunciating each word: “I will document everything that happens on Lolita Island.”
“I will record how I march step by step toward death.”
“And I will record how the Caldwell family marches step by step toward destruction!”
“I will find a way to get this video out!”
People in the audience stood up. Some grabbed my father by the collar, screaming in his face: “You monster! You deserve to die!”
